WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR THE MAYORAL RACE?

Editor’s note: This story did not meet our standards for accuracy and although parts of the story are correct, much of it was based on an inaccurate reading of public filings. Thus, I’ve taken the story down. Thank you for being a reader and thank you to those who pointed out the error. – Suzanne Downing

  1. MERCY ME MIRANDA, IF TUCK GETS IN WE WILL BE DOOMED. HOLD ON TO YOUR BACK POCKETS TAXPAYERS OF ANCHORAGE, YOU WILL WANT TO MOVE TO FLORIDA..

  2. I hope she studies the US Constitution and sees how to apply it for a change. There are plenty of pilgrims in the idyll who have no curiosity as to actual delegations of authority or subject and personal jurisdictions or remedy for such atrocities.

    • Find the MRAK video interview of Scott Kendall from last December, and listen to him describe all the particularities on the hurdles that need to be cleared in order for the petition drive to get it onto the ballot. It’s going to be tough and take a hell of a lot of work.

      LET’S GO!

    • Since the legislature refused to address repeal of RCV this session we are stuck with it for at least another election cycle even if the voters vote to repeal. Remember that come election time though if your legislator did not actively work to advance the repeal legislation that was being considered.

  3. Looking at her APOC filing, I think a much more accurate headline would be “Suzanne LaFrance amends bureaucratic paperwork related to an election 2.5 years ago.”

She changed her treasurer for the future campaign account associated with her 2020 run for House; she didn’t file to run for the House.

  4. Looking for a cushy job? Paid for by tax payers? Apply to the state of Alaska!? Oh And apply to the assembly of anchorage!?

  5. I will be spreading the word do not vote for her. I am going to work hard to get voters to not give her any votes.

  6. Stay tuned when next week LaFrance will waffle again. Strategically of course. Plan your work and work your plan… or just flounder around looking for a spot that might be easier for a combative cash squandering goofball to envision winning.

Shame there isn’t a way to keep candidates that suck out of the running. More shame yet that a significant percentage of the employable workforce has become accustomed to the couch and therefor more inclined to support candidates that in turn support parasites.

  7. Just like the shortage finding an applicant who can work in management is just as difficult as employers shuffling between other employers former employees whom are used to working hopping to another employer. I can see the same goes for shortage finding leaders who can lead Alaska even toward a bad direction. They don’t retire until 70 cause there even fewer applicants replace them earlier who had been leading a town or the state, so the current leadership crowd just gets shuffled around hopping from one seat to another. Sad little state we are in. Sigh.

  8. She is right, Anchorage needs a rest from the tyrannical assembly she was part of that continues to steal from the property owners to enrich themselves and their racketeering non profits. And anyone that believes Tuck would be good for Anchorage needs to know IBEW 1547 already had too much control over us with their monopoly on power generation in the Anchorage bowl.
