Fort Richardson National Cemetery Memorial Day ceremony
Noon, 58-512 Davis Highway on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson.
Pre-ceremony music begins at 11:30 am
To reduce wait times at the Visitor Control Center the day of the ceremony, the 673d Security Forces Squadron’s base-access section will have early registration which will allow approved individuals to bypass the center and proceed directly to the Richardson gate for base access. If Alaska was a Church state, the day’s events would been scheduled during the afternoon, for everyone be at church during the morning.
That’ll be the day.
Maybe next year i can go to Delaney. Huff! I feel so left out! Hahaha
The American Legion Auke Bay Post 25 (Juneau) conducts the Juneau Valley Service at 11 AM at the Alaska Memorial Park. Immediately following there is a chili and hot dog feed open to the public at the Auke Bay Post.
Thank goodness for the American Legion Posts and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Posts! If they didn’t conduct an annual observance of the Memorial Day national holiday (and Veterans Day in November), who would?
