6/28:Alaska’s “FaRRthest North Ruff Riders” motorcycle club will do a midnight ride from Anchorage House of Harley, stopping in Girdwood for gas, then on to Portage Glacier. More events over the weekend including a free community BBQ at the American Legion Jack Henry Post 1 backyard, 840 W. Fireweed Lane, 12 – 4 pm. Bouncy house for the kids and face painting. 6/28:Fairbanks 15th Annual Charity Golf Tournament to raise funds for programs and service for military families stationed in Alaska. 8 am shotgun start and wraps up in the afternoon with awards, door prizes and a fiesta feast. 6/29: Equality Parade, otherwise known as Gay Pride Parade. Starts at 11 am between 9th Ave. and E Street in downtown Anchorage. 50 groups/floats and 500 people are expected, the organizers say. PrideFestival will be held on starting at noon at Delaney Park Strip, on the corner strip of Ninth Avenue and E Street.
