Two Alaska Republican district organizations have endorsed congressional candidate Nick Begich. The votes on the endorsements took place over the past 10 days.

District 26 is Wasilla, which is represented in the Alaska House by House Speaker Cathy Tilton.

District 34 is Fairbanks, which is represented in the Alaska House by Rep. Frank Tomaszewski.

“Our districts represent the true grassroots of the conservative movement in our state. These are the volunteers who give their evenings and weekends to make calls, knock doors, put up signs, and do the heavy lifting. It’s an honor to have their support as we work together to restore Alaska’s representation in the House,” Begich said from inside the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee.

Begich also has endorsements from Alaska Young Republicans, six of the seven Alaska Republican Women’s Clubs, the U.S. House Freedom Caucus, Sen. Mike Lee, Rep. Scott Perry, and Rep. Byron Donalds, who is in Donald Trump’s inner circle. Trump, at the request of the National Republican Congressional Committee and Gov. Mike Dunleavy, has endorsed Nancy Dahlstrom, creating a split in the party leadership, although the grassroots seems to be “sticking with Nick.”

    • Ranked choice voting will easily slam dunk this election unless Republican voters dumb down their effectiveness and vote for only one R candidate, like too many of them did the last time in their suicidal protest of the system. The result – duh – was a Peltola win. And many still don’t get it.

Wise up, Republicans. In a Red state like this one, a “rank the red” strategy will own these elections. Either that, or fight among ourselves – or even against yourself – and continue to lose.

    • It would make the most sense for ND to honor the same pledge Nick has, and drop out if she’s not 1 or 2 in the primary. She won’t tho, because the money behind her has told her she can’t. In all likelihood that alone will cost us this seat.

      • Do not forget her conduct in this foray when she seeks your support in any attempt she makes for governorship…. whether by appointment or otherwise.

  1. I think I’m going to trust Donald J Trump on this one.
    What did our President say?

    >>>”(Dahlstrom’s) opponent, Nick Begich, has Democrat tendencies but, most importantly, he refused to get out of this Race last time, which caused the Republicans to lose this important seat to Mary Peltola, someone who is very unpopular, allowed the Democrats to terminate ANWR (something which every Republican President since Ronald Reagan wanted, but only I got!), and is doing a terrible job for Alaska.”

He managed to squeeze seven true statements into one awesome, bulletproof sentence. Hats Off!

    • On this Trump is wrong. Sarah Palin cost us the seat. She is too polarizing. Too many independent voters and moderate Republicans would not vote for her. They may not have voted for Peltola after Nick was eliminated, but they did not vote for Palin.

    • I am also sticking with Nick on this one. Nancy Dahlstrom has only stepped into the race to spoil Nick’s chances. No doubt she is getting paid to do so by the Democrats and dark Soros money. She is 67 years old and could easily have run for Governor as Dunleavy times out. Nick has agreed to step down if he is beaten in a Republican primary, but Dahlstrom has not agreed to do the same if she loses, so go figure.

    • Rank the Red, People. Rank the Red and our blues will go away.

For me it’s 1) NB3 and 2) ND in the general election. Brother, I’m okay with you doing the opposite. Just give NB3 your second if you insist on giving ND your first.

      • This is the way. Please, please, PLEASE! Learn from the mistakes we made last time people.

Last time I voted for Palin #1, NB3 #2. This time I will be voting NB3 #1 and ND #2. But at the end of the day it’s most important Peltola loses!

    • You ARE talking about the same Nancy Dahlstrom that has not cleaned up the voter rolls, uses ERIC as voter roll management software and who has done nothing to enhance election integrity. That Nancy Dahlstrom, right?

    • Apu, I also believe Trump is wrong on this one. Sarah jumped in with literally 30 minutes left to file, after Nick had spent almost a year campaigning. Expecting him to drop out simply because Sarah showed up was completely absurd. As for democrat tendencies, Sarah actually stated that she was voting for Mary!. Had Sarah showed up at the beginning, it would have been a different story. I would vote for Nick, Sarah, or Nancy, but I don’t think we have a chance at all with two candidates against a single democrat incumbent.

    • The last time Palin should have never entered the race but she is to narcissistic to realize the harm she does. I used to like her but then she turned her back on Alaskans and wen gallivanting off in the Lower 48. There needs to be new life bread into the conservative politics and Dahlstrom’s not it. She should ride off into the sunset and enjoy retirement after her sting as LT Governor is over. This is one of the reasons Trump picked JD Vance as his running mate bring in the young to shake things up in the Federal Government. Too many old tired ideas is the reason why we are $34T in Debit.

    • My son has been a conservative his entire life. Look at the history and have a conversation with him. Look my son in the eye, have a conversation and you will know who he is. By his very spirit and the clarity of his words you will know who my son is. The day Donald Trump meets and talks to my son for the first time he will see and know a leader. Donald Trump is who Nick III and I have always supported regardless of who has clearly misinformed the former President of the United States. When that conversation does happen with the new President and our knew President those people who split Alaska by that lie will be found out and the rest of what is hidden in darkness will be brought into the light. Make up your own mid based on real knowledge of what is going on in our State on the ground. Alaskans decide these things….period. Nick III and I are voting for President Donald Trump no matter what because this is about all of our futures and he is finally a choice that we can make.

    • Apustaja, you say “Nick Begich has Democrat tendencies…” Really? I challenge you to describe even one. Do believe one of his “tendencies” is the fact his uncle Mark is a Democrat. I have followed Nick closely for 4-years; I will attest to the fact he is fully committed to conservative principals. I contend your comment is based on your lack of knowledge of our best candidate, Nick Begich. Please reconsider.

  2. Nick has my vote, sooooo tired of Rino’s like dahlstrom trying to weasel their way in just to stab us in the back. Hopefully in the future we can have a strong maga candidate run for Governor so we can give that spineless dunleavy the boot!

  3. NB3 all the way!!! Trump likely did what he had to in his endorsements, and who knows what swamp dwellers are still influencing him. After listening to Dunleavy’s “mine is bigger than yours” awkward awarding of our delegates votes for President Trump, still not impressed with him. Wish he had a more unifying introduction for our state as many others did, such as Gov. Youngkin of VA. Could have done such a better job of promoting our state especially by mentioning our resources such as Beauty, Fish, Wildlife, and ENERGY!

We have yet to hear any truthful evidence of “democrat tendencies” by Nick. It’s more BS like that used against President Trump by MSM and Dems. Dahlstrom is a RINO and has done nothing while Lt. Gov, especially to strengthen our election process by withdrawing from ERIC. As for my household, we support Nick Begich III for U.S. Congress!

  4. The Alaska “Republican party leaders”can’t even keep it together in Juneau. Republican majority, Democrats rule. No surprise they plug their minion , Sarah Dahlstrom in Trumps ear. It just shows that Nick Begich isn’t on the cross-dressing team of many state”Republicans”. Perhaps Trump can put aside the 2022 mistake he made and find time to see what’s really going on here.

    • VD–Trump is still mad at Begich3 because he refused to bow down and withdraw last time so that Trump’s pick–Palin–could win. His endorsement of Dahlstrom this time is pure retribution against Begich for that deed, which Trump saw as an attack. I predict that RCV will award Nick more votes than Dahlstrom, but because Dahlstrom is DJT’s girl-puppy, she will not withdraw. And then, of course, Peltola will win.

      • There was little chance Palin was going to win in the last congressional election. The election was conducted using RCV procedure and Palin was perceived as a flake by a majority of voters. It didn’t help her chances that she spent big blocks of time in Arizona or sporting about New York with her latest boyfriend. Toss in the fact that Peltola was a new, mostly unknown candidate who ran a clever campaign and Alaska wound up with a significant change in Congressional representation.
Donald Trump didn’t have a clue about Alaska’s political scene when he endorsed Palin.
This election cycle is very different. NB3 has an excellent chance to win, is a genuine conservative and likely to be elected to Congress by 2 to 5 points.
It’s an election cycle during with a presidential election at the top of the ballot in a state where Donald Trump is going to roll up a big win. Alaska is a state that strongly trends toward Republican candidates. The R’s are going to turn out in force and the D’s are in disarray.
Nick Begich is going to Congress to represent Alaska.

      • SA, if ” RCV will award Nick more votes than Dahlstrom” then this only proves even more why RCV has to be removed! NB III will get more votes because MORE PEOPLE will rank him first on the ballot and Dahlstrom second and rank no one else (unless they are republican). Looking forward to RCV being removed so that we can quit playing this “everyone gets an award” game that the left likes to play. One person, one vote on one day, no mail-in, ID required, results in several days, at the most, instead of two or three weeks later as the state has it set up at this time.

  5. Look at the data.

Look at the source data and determine who to support.

I am absolutely biased because I am a gold miner’s daughter.

But as an Alaska Native Gold mining family:

We never got a bail out because the price of gold tanked due to global economics.

We never got a bail out because we never found the gold that year.

Ever since I was nine years old, I grew up in a traditional native family with our traditional native way of life as family gold miners and trappers and dog mushers and we have been attacked since I fluttered my eyelashes the first time.

What I experienced as a native girl when I left the Doyon region to my home place in the socialist Bering Strait Region was a native leadership and university system well-funded to make go away my native way of life.

I was made to feel less than all the native ways of life.

I never experienced blatant dependency and generational assimilation as I did in Nome. I did not even know what that was.

    Now I do.

When the ANCSA corporations hold the land use hostage, they work with the non-profit tribally-operated regional corporations to keep the dire human statistics up to make the money churn.

When there is a housing problem – yet the village corporation withholds its private landholder rights against its own shareholders- instead of using these assets to elevate individual ownership and asset building – there is a problem.

We in Alaska fought for all the tools to uplift individuals and families.

Yet, the only wealth builders are NGO executives.

    Take a look at this.

Commercial fishing costs the State of Alaska almost $9 million a year,

Commercial fishing is in the red.

The mining industry is SUBSIDIZING commercial fishing.

And I am barely brushing on what this data means.

Because it’s boring – unless you’re a nerd like me.

Bottom line, I do not support Mary Peltola.

It’s easy to understand a sliver of where you came from but to be a greater leader is to explore the rest of your constituents – or humankind in general.

I believe you have to be an explorer not the exploration.

I like verbs better than nouns.

So bottom line, these outsiders running against Mary better get their shit straight.

And even worse is outsiders that come to a place to stand straighter or taller without local respect – from where THEY came from.

Bottom line is this – Mary will win.

And good on her for doing so.

    It will be a landslide.

  6. The only way that we will remove Peltola legally using RCV is if everyone ranks NB III first, then Dahlstrom second and don’t vote anything else (unless there is another Republican). NB III appears to have a HUGE lead over Dahlstrom. People need to accept this and vote for NB III. Otherwise…we are getting Peltola again.

  7. Yep, we ALL stick with Nick because DC does not represent us and that’s where Dahlstrom’s bucks come from.

  8. My point is the Republicans in AK will lose this election to Mary Peltola again.

Nick Begich has family baggage because of Mark. Mark should have bowed out when the election and persecution of Senator Ted Stevens happened.

    Speaking of bowing out…

Who cares if he is conservative.

Neither of the Republican candidates are relatable.

Maybe they are relatable in the quintessential Alaska beltway, but not at the voter booth.

  9. ‘https://www.elections.alaska.gov/statistics/2020/SEP/VOTERS%20BY%20PARTY%20AND%20PRECINCT.htm

Ranked Choice becomes more and more irrelevant when voters are undeclared, non-partisan and AK Independent.

Alaska politics do not reflect US politics.

Sometimes we are behind the times, sometimes we are trailblazing, but one thing is for certain Alaska Natives are the largest private landholders in the United States of America.

And if you do not understand what I am conveying in my posts – that’s on you.

I am a conservative-and I am bored of the talking head speech makers that spend their time in conferences and meetings fundraising – desperate to get the attention of whoever to co-sign their value.

The purpose of candidacy is to speak directly to humans.

This is especially true given the apocalypse that the Biden Administration left us working people in.

The only reason people are paying dues or participating in any membership organization is because they have to.

So burning and churning your time to an audience of the former Easy-A venues is no more.

And it demonstrates your lack of touch with reality and worse, your blind spot.

Anyone can preach to their own choir.

But when it comes between a known entity versus the known behaviors of congressional candidates in Alaska…Mary wins all day and has time to go fishing.

Bye The Way – Nick Begich should redeem his family and bow out like Mark Begich should have when Uncle Ted was being crucified.

    Now that I would respect!
