President Donald Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance duked it out with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy Friday after he openly criticized the U.S. for not having stopped Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Trump said he is not siding with either Putin or Zelenskyy but is determined to negotiate a deal to end the war, while Vance argued that the current administration is “engaging in diplomacy.” Zelenskyy argued that the U.S. has failed to stop Putin and challenged Vance’s argument that the nation is engaging in “diplomacy.”
“During 2015, nobody stopped [Putin]. He just occupied them too. He killed people,” Zelenskyy said. “[Throughout] 2014 and 2022, the situation [was] the same. People have been dying on the content line, nobody stopped him … He broke this ceasefire. He killed our people and he didn’t exchange prisoners. We signed the exchange of prisoners. But he didn’t do it. What kind of diplomacy, J.D., are you speaking about? What do you mean?”
“I’m talking about the kind of diplomacy that’s going to end the destruction of your country,” Vance said. “Mr. President, Mr. President, with respect, I think it’s disrespectful for you to come into the Oval Office and try to litigate this in front of the American media. Right now, you guys are going around and forcing conscripts to the front lines because you have manpower problems. You should be thanking the president for trying to bring an end to this conflict … I have actually watched and seen the stories and I know what happens, you bring people, you bring them on a propaganda tour, Mr. President, do you disagree that you’ve had problems bringing people into your military? And do you think it’s disrespectful to come to the Oval Office of the United States of America and attack the administration that is trying to prevent the destruction of your country.”
Trump told Zelenskyy point-blank that he was “disrespecting” the U.S. and had “no position” to be critical of the nation given that he is at war.
“We’re trying to solve a problem, don’t tell us what we’re going to feel,” Trump told Zelenskyy. “Because you’re in no position to dictate that, remember that. You’re in no position to dictate what we’re going to feel. We’re going to feel very good and very strong. You’re right now not in a very good position … You don’t have the cards right now. With us, you’ll have the cards. You’re playing cards. You’re gambling with a lot of lives and millions of people. You’re gambling with World War III, you’re gambling with World War III and what you’re doing is very disrespectful to this country. It’s backed you far more than a lot people say it should have.”
“Have you said thank you once?” Vance then asked, prompting Zelenskyy to claim he had. “No, in this entire meeting, have you said thank you? You went to Pennsylvania and campaigned for the opposition in October. Offer some words of appreciation for the United States of America and to the president who’s trying to save your country.”
Zelenskyy accused Vance of “speaking very loudly about the war,” and argued his nation has “stayed strong” throughout the conflict. Trump reminded the Ukrainian president that the Ukrainians have persisted against Russia since 2022 because the U.S. generously sent the nation its military equipment and spent billions of taxpayer dollars to help them fight the war.
Vance told Zelenskyy that they should “litigate [their] disagreements” rather than him traveling to the U.S. to call out the nation’s leaders.
After the explosive exchange, the scheduled joint press conference between Trump and Zelenskyy had been canceled. The White House told the Daily Caller that Trump asked Zelenskyy to leave the White House over the incident.
The president said in a Truth Social post that Zelenskyy “is not ready for peace” because U.S. involvement grants him a “big advantage in negotiations.”
“We had a very meaningful meeting in the White House today,” Trump said. “Much was learned that could never be understood without conversation under such fire and pressure. It’s amazing what comes out through emotion, and I have determined that President Zelenskyy is not ready for Peace if America is involved, because he feels our involvement gives him a big advantage in negotiations. I don’t want advantage, I want PEACE. He disrespected the United States of America in its cherished Oval Office. He can come back when he is ready for Peace.”
The U.S. and Ukraine had finalized a deal for mineral extraction and had planned to sign the agreement at the White House. No deals will be signed as of Friday.
I can ask my neighbor to keep an eye on my house.
Or, I can let my neighbor park his Porsche in my garage and he WILL keep and eye on my house.
How can Zelensky not understand?
Um – because you, the Porsche Parker, is buddies with the guy who wants to break into the house?
Scotty, you forgot one detail, your neighbor doesn’t demand he gets 50% of your furniture and jewelry. Hopefully these bizarre analogies will be short-lived!
He wants more money.
Well… this is not a surprise, nor is it shocking. The U.S. should have never sent Ukraine any bills or bullets to begin with. Had the U.S. refrained from doing so in the first place, the conflict would be over already. President Zelenskyy, send back all the arms and refund the money.
Terrible optics of Trump and Vance assailing embattled, jet lagged Zelinskyy, in English in front of the press is one thing. The rest of the story is much worse.
Before the “mineral deal” was public came Trump Executive Order 14209, Feb 10, 2025.
EO 14209 stops DOJ prosecutions under the 1977 Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. The FCPA prohibits US companies from paying bribes to corrupt officials. E.g. Putin.
The stated purpose of Trump’s EO is to allow US companies to pay off corrupt officials, like Trump’s favorite strong man, Putin. Payments the EO describes as “routine business practices in other nations.”
Trump finds the FPCA “impedes the Untied States foreign policy objectives.”
The EO seeks for US companies to gain “strategic advantages whether in critical minerals, deep-water ports, or other key infrastructure assets.” By buying off corrupt officials.
Putin is enraged over Zelinskyy because Zelinskyy’s anti-corruption drive cut off one of Putin’s sources of revenue – from Ukranian oligarchs that Zelinskyy has put in prison. (Navalny described some of the process by which Oligarchs paid off Putin before Putin had Navalny killed.)
Remember, Zelinskyy’s predecessor was the first anti-corruption leader of Ukraine, and he was poisoned by Putin. Prior to that Ukraine’s Soviet or “pro-Kremlin” leadership was fully corrupt.
If particular note is the similarity in language between Trump’s mineral deal and the earlier EO 14209. The minerals deal, also included ports and infrastructure, suggesting the EO and future “deal” were thought through together and intended to grease Putin through corrupt bribes by US companies.
One might guess Putin’s enthusiasm for US investments in Russian minerals could include similar corrupt inducements for Putin.
Fortune Mag estimates Putin’s net worth at $200 billion, “earned” from corrupt practices of the kind Trump’s EO would encourage.
The minerals deal was flawed in many aspects. It conflated resources with reserves, or more accurately proven reserves. Trump claimed hundreds of billions in profits, when hard rock minerals generate perhaps 10 or 15%. It ignores that China controls the price of these minerals and Chinese companies are already in illegally occupied Ukraine selling mining equipment and infrastructure projects.
Not to mention the US has most all of these mineral resources, environmentally frozen in regulation bound Alaska.
Of course, US mineral deposits are within the confines of US law, which prohibits corrupt practices like bribes.
Terrible optics is showing up at the capital of the most powerful country in the world for a meeting with the president wearing a cheap sweatshirt, and insolently demanding money, when you are unable to account for the last at least 100 billion you were given. “Zelensky’s predecessor was the first anti corruption leader of Ukraine..”. How utterly laughable. It is, for all practical purposes, recorded history that the U.S. State dept. organized a color revolution in Ukraine to remove Yanukovych, and installed Poroshenko, a corrupt-to-the-core puppet of the U.S. govt. Is there corruption in Russian politics? I’m sure there is. Probably not as bad as the corruption in American politics. Neocon warmongers need to face the fact that the cold war is over. Time to move on.
I listened carefully. I did not hear Zelensky “demand money.”
You probably express the same attitude when Musk was recently video-taped in the Oval Office wearing a T-short and a baseball cap. Please be consistent in your outrage.
A) Musk works for Trump and is NOT representing a foreign nation
and
B) You clearly did not look properly, as Elon was wearing a suit jacket over that T-shirt.
Apples and Oranges!
The U.S. and Ukraine had finalized a deal for mineral extraction and had planned to sign the agreement at the White House
Yep, thats what its all about folks, mineral extraction of rare materials. To feed the need of what it takes to make your cell phones, computers and anything electronic to work. think about the Move. “Avatar”.
President Trump is serious. Pres Z a bit delusional… How did he get the idea that the U.S. was going to “stop Putin”? What does that mean? I admire Z’s and the Ukrainians’ courage and determination, but this HUGE American money and material pit has to cease. I don’t know what peace there is going to look like, but the attitude says it won’t happen. Demanding boot polishing is not helpful – from and for either party…
I’d kick that goofball Ukrainian President out of the US . I as tax payer are tired of paying for that stupid war . He thinks he’s some kind of a celebrity and probably is guilty of stealing our taxpayer money and ingratiating himself at our expense . Maybe he should spend some money on a damn suit instead dressing like a 5 year old kid . Maybe have Musk do a personal audit on him and see how wealthy he is now compared to when he was installed , then try him for war crimes or embezzlement . He walking on thin ice . Last I looked on map , Ukraine is much closer to Europe than us . We already saved Europe once 80 years ago and took nearly every able bodied person in America to do it . It’s Europes turn now
What you’ve got here is one bully, another guy who’s trying to be a a bully to impress the first one, and a poor guy in no position to fight back.
Yesterday will go into the history books as one of the grimmest days in American diplomacy; the beginning of a long-term disaster every American, every U.S. ally, and anyone who cares about the future of Democracy will have to endure. With the White House’s betrayal of Ukraine capping a month of authoritarian chaos in America, Putin, along with other dictators around the world, can finally look at Trump with confidence and think: “He’s one of us.”
Nah, they should have burlap bagged that Ukranian midget, and sent him to Moscow with a red ribbon.
He squeeze into his old leather outfit and shake his tush in the Gulag. Maybe Wagner would take him as cannon fodder.
If Zelensky wants to play footsie with traitors like Biden and Pelosi, he’s persona-non-grata with patriotic Americans. We were scammed for billions and he still demands more.
Loved how JD Vance bootstomped him in public for the benefit of the cameras so we could see what a fraud Zelensky is. Gentlemen, your next president!
but I thought Obama said to Romney “the 80s called, they want their foreign policy back”
So now the left does think Russia is a threat?
The US should have NEVER gotten involved in this largely internecine war, even though the US DID help to foster it, by instigating the Maiden coup in 2014 under the influence of that neocon snake Victoria Nuland.
Nevertheless, I am sick to death of the whole thing, and want nothing more than to see Trump cut off ALL arms and funds to Ukraine, while pulling out of the useless and counterproductive NATO, letting the hyper-radical-leftist Euro-peons to twist in the wind on their own, since most of them seem so determined to commit collective national suicide anyway, by destroying their energy infrastructure and manufacturing realm while importing masses of alien and unassimilable Turd-World immigrants.
I agree with you.
It is about time that bully from the Ukraine got the punch in the nose he so richly deserves. And, I am glad it happened on National TV.
.
The way other countries are kowtowing to the Ukraine is absolutely embarrassing.
.
Then again, leftists, such as yourself, want the US to be subservient to other countries.
Sorry WTD I watched the entire 50 minute exchange.
President Z had an attitude. He rolled his eyes, crossed his arms, sat aggressively on the edge of his chair, leaning into President Trump’s personal space. It was clear that he wanted a public promise from the US that we are solely in HIS corner representing HIS interests. For that purpose he expected a declaration of utter and unequivocal condemnation of Putin and Russia. He clearly expected promises of more weapons and unconditional monetary support for Ukraine. (hinting admission to NATO as well as he kept bringing up Poland)
President Trump and VP Vance were not going to put this nation in a corner. IF you want peace you have 2 choices, you either beat the other guy so badly that he surrenders(not likely with Russia) OR you negotiate, preferably with a third party as mediator.
The mineral deal was a first step in getting a cease-fire and a way for the US to have a vested interest in Ukraine. President Z made it implicitly clear that he did not want a cease-fire, complaining that Russia has broken previous agreements AND he challenged President Trump to declare the same (leaving the only option for peace US support to achieve an unconditional surrender of Russia)
The man is not interested in an end to fighting. He wants revenge and it does not matter what it costs. He expects his demands be met without delay. He is not interested in negotiations and utterly misreads his country’s current precarious situation.
The ungrateful huffing and demands of President Z and his inability to be cordial, cost him that deal and support. To then threaten our country with “you have an ocean but you will feel it” if we don’t go along with his demands, I think was the last straw. They showed a picture of the Ukrainian ambassador, who had her head in her hand.
It is our constitutional republic for which we will fight, and democracy can go right straight to the hell it brings and belongs in.
Betrayal of Ukraine? Are you talking about 2014?
Zelensky fits the textbook definition of a dictator. He need you Dog. Step out from behind your keyboard, GO and fight for him. You’re not to old.
How can you be so against Democracy? After all, it just brought you Trump and the scorched Earth that always accompanies him and that you so desire.
I also recall Putin calling in the North Korean military. North Koreans getting outsourced to war was like their spring break in Fort Lauderdale.
What I appreciate about our President is that he is not willing to finance other countries disagreements.
If countries go to war and come calling – they better have collateral and not over extend their credit. They better start embracing the cost benefit analysis- and break-even point.
War is about logistics, minerals, economy-cultural ideation is often the secondary motivator.
Unless though, you come across a dictator where the biggest thing he wields is his ego.
Or even more made for tv sweeps week…the two dictators.
One an underwhelming confused looking Bruce Lee fat guy impersonator and the other a gross Fabio bare back horse riding Hallmark made for a women tv wannabe.
Don’t forget the actual tv star (I guess) turned Ukrainian President – if anyone knows a show he’s been on – please share…
I do not think he was readily prepared for the transparency on live tv that happened today.
If that was his prepared face, it’s no wonder he needed to be bailed out by Biden and Sons.
It’s all good signing deals with a President that is not legally of sound mind to bind a contract.
I have to say, when it comes to global villains, these are the most entertaining ones.
The gals from the View should invite them on their show. It’d be easy, these boys need a soft ball – those ladies only listen to themselves talk. Win-win
Now this is what I call a presidency!
What a time to be alive. To see America under adult control again. No more e bullying from the war hawks and being pushed for endless wars.
Those who continue to fight and kill each other are considered spiritually immature. This planet needs to grow up and move beyond the manipulations that aim to keep us divided.
You call that behavior “under control?”TDS is strong in you .
Hey Cman. I am cool with what is going on. I don’t have fear for the future and I believe that we will all benefit from the Trump presidency, whether you like it or not.
However, I don’t think you know what TDS means, as you have wrongfully applied the label to me. I love Trump. I love American. The deranged are the ones who see an enemy in everyone who is trying to bring our country back into goodness.
If you are afraid and panicking over the situation, it is because it is you who is wrongly informed. You have become much too reliant on government for you to be happy. You have lost all your power to outside forces. You, the weak shall perish from this world and the strong shall persist. But that is ok, none of us were ever meant to be here forever. Better get right with God, as that has always been our final destination.
Good luck Cman, your heart and health are gonna need it.
Zelensky is finished! The Green Goblin was even dissed by a reporter who asked him, ” Don’t you own a suit? Don’t you think it’s disrespectful showing up in the Oval Office dressed the way you are?”. The room erupted in laughter! Probably won’t see that clip on mainstream media.
You got it, “Food for the Dogs!” But, oh, how the smartly dressed mongrels know Russian for sit, speak, and roll over! Nyet?
Why didn’t they ask Elon the same question when he was doing a press conference from the Oval Office with his kid running around picking his nose?
No suit?! Oh mother. What a moral outrage!
Wearing a suit is an acknowledgement of respect for the individual and office you are meeting with. This is not a moral issue.
.
Tell me, cman. Would you go to court and stand in front of a judge wearing a T-shirt? I doubt it. You would dress in a suit, and you would shave, clear up your hair, etc… Why? Because the situation demands it.
Yet Musk dances around the oval office in a t-shirt and ball cap! That is ok, I guess.
Musk is not a foreign Head of State trying to finalize a treaty. So… yeah. That is Ok with folks.
“…….Vance argued that the current administration is “engaging in diplomacy…….”
This isn’t ‘diplomacy’. It’s extortion. Trump isn’t even offering more aid. He’s trying to extort $500 billion for aid that the Biden administration gave.
Just more disgrace for the history books. If the Republicans fail to pull a miracle out of their hats by November of 2026, they’re history themselves.
How incredibly stupid.
Ukraine received ample funds and materiel to fight this war from the US without any expectations of repayment. Somehow Ukraine has the expectation that this will continue indefinitely. The US has no strategic interest in Ukraine, the Europeans on the other hand do. Don’t you always argue that we should not be involved in all these foreign conflicts??
The mineral deal was a way to have US companies in the country, providing Ukraine a way to support itself instead of relying on US largess AND make the Russians think twice about attacking further.
I have since seen an interview with Secretary Besset, who traveled to Kyiv to get this mineral deal signed, only to have Zelenskyy basically demand admission to NATO. Then President Z promised to sign the deal in Munich, again he reneged and now he plays to the cameras.
I finally figured out what he wants. He wants an ironclad guarantee if Putin breaks the cease-fire the US will declare war on Russia. This is reminisced of the agreement Germany had with Austria before WWI and we all know how that ended.
So Reggie with all due respect the US offered Zelenskyy a way forward to see a future for his country and work towards a cease-fire and peace and he arrogantly blew it. I would have thrown that ungrateful thug out much earlier.
Two reality TV stars doing the reality TV thing. Zelensky will be back. Cheers –
Everyone should hold their judgment about this until Lisa Murkowski tells us “Trump bad man” so we know which side to take.
Bullying your allies and appeasing your adversaries will not turn out well for anyone.
It’s funny how all you establishmentarians and pro-status-quo quislings like to call “allies” so many countries that functionally do not fit that bill at all —most of Europe, Israel, and now Ukraine — because all they do is LEACH off the USA, while increasingly repudiating the values most foundational to the USA, such as freedom of speech, and REAL democracy, not the “WE will tell you who to vote for!” sham that is happening in so much of Europe today.
With “friends” like those, who needs enemas?
You’re as consistent as a broken record. All the same insults, all the same paranoid pronouncements.
And you are even more consistent in your bland defenses of a corrupt and dying status-quo power structure and sociopathic authority.
Cman, you have never added one bit of insight or wisdom to ANY conversation here. All that you, and Whidbey, and Sebastian, and Frank Rast can do is utter vapid support for the powers-that-be, every time. It is so boring and predictable, like the sunrise over a cesspool.
How is Ukraine an ally?
Zelenskyy thought he could bully Trump and Vance the way he bullied Biden and Harris. He miscalculated badly and his people knew it immediately.
The United States doesn’t have allies that kill journalists, imprison political opponents, imprison priests and shut down churches, kill women and children, target schools and hospitals, ad nauseum! Oh wait, the Obama/Biden did cultivate “allies” like that and became rich doing it!
It amusing and instructive to witness all the usual radical leftist suspects, both here on MRAK and in the world at large, rallying to the defense of an authoritarian illegitimate ruler like Zelensky, and being those most fervid in beating the drums of war in general.
Remember when the leftists were actually ANTI-war?
Pepperidge Farm remembers.
Some things are just wrong- and Trump and Vance were wrong. This is not what America does. We don’t support dictators who are aggressors against democracies.
We don’t support invaders.
This would be like if, when Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel came to the White House this month, Trump and Vance told him that the war with Hamas had gone on too long, too many lives had been lost and it was costing America too much money, so it was time for Netanyahu and the Israeli people to do a deal with the Hamas.
…and then kept asking him if he’d thanked them yet (Vance sounded like little blank)
AK Fish unlike President Z, Prime minister Netanyahu understands the difference between public appearance and private, behind the scenes negotiations.
This press conference was supposed to announce the mineral deal and answer questions. Yet President Z proceeded to abuse the presence of the press to air his hate for Putin and his clear opinion that he owes the US nothing at all and this mineral deal is an insult to him. I expect he thought that Trump would acquiesce and agree to avoid a confrontation in public and so maneuver the US into a position of taking sides and sitting quietly while being insulted that all the interest the US has shown in Ukraine is not enough.
Don’t get me wrong Putin is a monster and a megalomaniac, but if Ukraine has any prayer of coming out of this intact, they will need to negotiate and need a third party mediator. I guess it will be one of the European leaders now.
Yours is an amazingly short sighted remark and clearly in support of Jews rather than the Ukraine. Analytically speaking there are several deplorable aspects to providing monetary or military support to whatever that ’cause’ might be.
– The Ukraine is an enclave and the former property of what up until 1991 was the USSR. That it might be reclaimed shouldn’t be unexpected. If you had any management skills you’d have done it were you in charge. I would’ve, too.
– The US President’s salary is $400k per year but Zelenskyy’s salary is $60mm per year. Where do you think that money came from and why is it that US citizens owe that former television entertainer their tax dollars? Consider that disparity for a moment; Their population is ten percent of our US population and their unqualified leader’s income is 150x larger than that of the POTUS. Zelenskyy has 15 mansions and villas, 3 private jets, 5 luxury yachts and a net worth of $600mm. How much of that existed prior to the US gifting that little grifter Zelenskyy so many US tax dollars? That needs a DOGE review for certain.
– Ukraine is strategically inconvenient for either military occupation or mineral export.
– In that your remarks are nearly solely in support of the very same group that’s been irritable enough over the centuries to have been expelled from 109 countries it merits a moment’s analysis… is any of this related to a humanitarian effort or is this something different?
Your remarks indicate that you are not the right person to make an objective determination.
Cut that little idiot off from US pockets and let that country stand on its own merit. Mistakes have been made by a demented hair sniffing idiot that should never have been in the Whitehouse. The time to fix that error is now.
Please supply evidence that President Zelensky regarding his salary, his wealth, and the number of houses he own.
Is your google broke?
Meanwhile, the vile Putin, who has, along with his corrupt partners, have stolen an estimated one trillion dollars from the Russian people is being appeased by Trump.
Sad that Trump never learned history.
Appeasing thugs like Putin or Hitler never turns out well for the civilized world.
How I miss Ronald Reagan.
MM, interestingly while Reagan called Russia the “evil empire” he still met with Gorbachev in Reykjavik to discuss nuclear weapons, which eventually led to a treaty on Intermediate Range nuclear forces. At some point you need to either negotiate or beat the opposition decisively. Ukraine is not amenable to the former and can not achieve the latter unless we are talking WWIII.
That Putin steals from his own people is atrocious and despicable, but an issue the Russian nation will need to address internally.
What exactly has the US received for the $183 Billion in aid to Ukraine? Should assistance to Ukraine continue without limitation? For how long?

Like sausage making, diplomacy is probably best not viewed on full display. Under the Obama/Biden/Harris Administration there was no diplomacy. It must be recalled what Obama said about Biden “Don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to f@(< things up," anyone who thinks the state of world affairs were better from Jan 20, 2021 until Jan 20, 2025 wasn't paying attention at all. It will take some time to turn away from the failed foreign policy of the Obama/Biden/Harris Administration.
Of course, there is no evidence that President Obama made that statement. You are simply repeating something you heard. If you believe that then you must also believe John Kelly when he said Trump referred to dead U.S. service members as “suckers.”
There is no evidence that President Trump made that statement and you are simply repeating what YOU heard.
It is a illogical to demand others to categorically accept all they hear as fact. It is intellectually lazy and lacks the sophistication of discernment of critical analysis of each statement independently from one another.
With the sentiments expressed by Alaska’s diplomat core (Whitbey, FrankRast, Bruce), is it any wonder AK is sinking under the leadership of mental midgets like Giessel, Kiehl, Kopp, and Stutes – sounds like the name of a funeral home.
It was a shocking blip in the Ukranian leader’s path to progress in defense of his nation. Some look at this as typical pathological behavior of a narcissistic leader’s style, and an underwhelming display by the underdog whose moral integrity will win international support. Others choose to focus on the gut punch of the helpless observation of a rape. Still, others? It’s difficult for me to try to imagine where the Ukrainian Prime Minister was in the wrong in the distasteful public display, but in thinking about how calm Mr Zelensky was in holding his cool, I’d not be surprised if this is the actual behind-the-scenes stuff that goes on. The disgusting behavior perhaps was meant as a fascist display to intimidate other world leader expectations they might have that the USA will step up and defend European allies against Russia in Europe, Africa, or South America. Hard to say, but with all the talk about international tariffs, perhaps it’s distraction from the facts that domestic leadership is in a quandary about the egg prices.
The thing is, generally when there’s a regime change, it is supported by the voters as being beneficial to the body of the electorate. And, right now what’s going on is helpful and definitely not supported by the majority of intellectuals.
And, as our country is currently being led by an unelected pied piper rasputin-type, we’re very much on shifting sands. So, don’t expect too much of us right now, world.
I think you tagged the wrong article Mrs N, maybe you should be over singing praises of the Anchorage march for global socialism.
Proof in the comments that TDS is a two way affliction. Just as there are people who blame Trump for everything, many on here will excuse any disgusting action or megalomaniac behavior he exhibits as “leadership”.
Soooo, you let people come into your house, tell you what they’re going to take, and how you need to think about it, and you don’t make a peep? You just think its great when they endeavor to interrupt and talk over you the whole time?
Zelensky is an idiot, and you are no different if you justify and excuse his behavior.
This was a pre-planned attack by two weak minded men arguing with a real leader who’s first language isn’t even English and yet he was still more eloquent. Like I said, TDS is a two way affliction and you’ve just proven my point. Well done comrade.
Ridiculous assertion, and you did not answer my questions.
I am at a loss to think of how you could have done a better job at proving my point. Congrats
Eloquent? cman watch the entire exchange not just the 3 minutes CNN deems interesting. Everything went fine until President Z started in on needing more weapons to fight, mentioning Poland and demanding guarantees. This meeting was about a mineral deal. A first step. The more Zelenskyy talked the more it became obvious he was holding out for more concessions. President Trump was not going to negotiate this in front of the press, especially after Zelenskyy stood them up twice already signing this deal.
I understand that your dislike of President Trump colors everything, but large portion of Ukraine’s economy runs solely on US dollars and this guy things he can use the public display to squeeze more out of us, without giving anything in return.
Don’t you have someone’s hair to sniff?
I rest my case.
Cman,
Was this meeting held in Kyiv, or Washington DC? Was it held in the Oval Office at the Whitehouse or Mariinskyi Palace? Could Trump have handled a grown man and president of a foreign country better, sure…he could have also bent him over his knee and spanked him. Zelenskyy knew what he was doing and what he was there for, he miscalculated and thought he was talking to a hapless old walkover of a man like the last president.
He wasn’t talking to a man. He was talking to a petulant child.
You are correct. President Trump was talking to a petulant child.
I agree, Zelenskyy displayed all the action a petulant child would hence the comment about bending him over his knee and spanking him.
MRAC: You seem to have either a lot of paid trolls and/or really uninformed people. It would be great if you did a full history of Ukraine or at least go back to 2014 and include details about Victoria Nuland and others to educate any of the truly uninformed people who are defending Ukraine. However, my bet is that most are being funded by taxpayer dollars through USAID or another nefarious organization.
On the plane trip home it will no doubt finally dawn on Zelenskyy that his American cash cow went kaput on November 5th. This will be painfully obvious when he cannot deliver the cash to his oligarch handlers. He was so obtuse and arrogant in his appearance in the Oval Office in his track suit and ‘rolling eyes’ that did not anticipate Trump’s ‘get the hell out of here’ reaction. Trump stated the obvious: you have no cards to play. Peace is the only way forward. What should keep Zelenskyy up at night is that he cannot cash feed his oligarch handlers and that makes him useless to them. When you are useless, your services are no longer needed.
What exactly does the US get from the $183 Billion in aid it has given Ukraine? Should this assistance continue without limit? For how long? At what price? Why?
Thank you, President Trump. Damn, that’s some fine diplomacy, sir!
.
Wouldn’t be surprised to find out, especially from watching his body language and choice of words, that President Zelenskyy was coached by a former American president and his national security advisor, who screwed that up just like everything else they touched
.
…or to see President Z returning to the White House with this gem of information as a peace offering.
Zelenskyy is a punk, Putin knows it, Trump knows it, and his impeachment is coming.
Hundreds of thousands of young men in Ukraine have been slaughtered because of the Biden administration’s policy to fund Zelenskyy’s un-winnable war.
Punk Zelenskyy got handed his walking papers by Trump and Vance and will be handed his ass by the innocent citizens of Ukraine.
For all of you dumping on Trump even thinking about communicating with Putin, to attempt to give peace to the region, here is a blast from the past (courtesy revival by Pete Hegseth)
Remember the “reset button” Hillary presented to the Russians (which incidentally said “overload” not “reset”) in order to normalize the relationship with Putin/Russia?
From Wikipedia:
The Russian reset was an attempt by the Obama administration to improve relations between the United States and Russia in 2009–2013.
Zelenskyy had met with the Obama people: Blinken, Shumer, Susan Rice, Victoria Newland and one other man we did not know, before his signing meeting with Trump. They told him not to cooperate.
