The Alaska Republican senator who is unwelcome in most Alaska Republican circles and who makes it her daily mission to verbally oppose President Donald Trump has written a book on bipartisanship.
The book by Sen. Lisa Murkowski is titled, “Far From Home – An Alaskan senator faces the extreme climate of Washington, D.C.”
“A voice of reason in a polarized U.S. Senate, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska tells the story of how she learned to adapt to the harsh climate of Washington, D.C., and issues a fervent appeal for a politics grounded in compromise and compassion,” says Penguin Random House, the publisher, in the online promotion.
“Lisa Murkowski has repeatedly stood at the center of our nation’s most challenging issues, serving as a swing vote and a voice willing to challenge the president, regardless of who holds the office. In this candid memoir that offers hope for a functional Washington, she guides readers through the defining events of her more than twenty-year career: her beginnings in Alaska and appointment to the U.S. Senate, the rise of the Tea Party and her historic 2010 write-in reelection campaign, and the pivotal events of the Trump era, including her vote against Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation to the U.S. Supreme Court, the 2020 election, January 6, the impeachment trials, the overturning of Roe, and Trump’s second election,” the publisher says.
“Written at a time when Americans’ trust in their institutions is in crisis, Far from Home is a candid account of how things get done in Washington. It is an uplifting narrative for anyone seeking reassurance that our political system can,” the publisher says.
It’s safe to say that the book was authored by longtime Murkowski ally Charles Wohlforth, who served on the Anchorage Assembly and wrote a column for the Anchorage Daily News before moving to New Jersey. He is the author of several books, including “as told to” biographies. His work appears in liberal publications such as “The Daily Beast” and the “New Republic.” Wohlforth appears as a cowriter on the book cover.
Murkowski has become increasingly visible on the national stage, appearing at events sponsored by the “No Labels Party,” and granting interviews to leftist national media. The upcoming memoir raises the question that some have asked: Is the 67-year-old (68 in May) senator planning to run for president in four years? Or is this her swan song?
Lisa Murkowski is a national embarrassment If she wants to further humiliate herself Alaskans can only reflect on why she became Senator for woke Alaskans in the first place.
Who’s your daddy, Lisa?
Her memoir will make an excellent supply of fancy toilet paper
I’ll wait for the movie, the rating of multiply “Pinocchios” will be delirious.
Vanity project.
Or another way to hide money.
“Hey Lisa how’d you get so rich?”
“Uhhh..(eyes shifting) my book, yeah book sales.”
“Willing to challenge the president, regardless of who holds the office?” Lisa seems to vote against things just because Trump supports them. She certainly didn’t show that same consistency with any other president so I think she actually does temper her voice with blatant regard to who holds the office. I hope the book is a flop- no one should want to emulate the RINO queen.
Lisa Murkowski memoir, aka Lisa’s pack of self serving lies. This will sell about as well as Hillary and Kamala’s “memoirs”. Nothing but a steaming stinking pile of poop.
I like comedy.
She should run for POTUS in 4 years Maybe that will finally open her eyes to see how unpopular she really is
SHES SO VAIN & THE ONLY ONE IN THE ROOM WHO CANNOT SEE THE WRITING ON THE WALL. RESIGN SHAMELESS ONE. MAGA TRUMP TRUMP TRUMP
Far from home? Doesn’t she live in DC? Maybe she should have called it Far From My Hometown to be more accurate.
‘Far From Reality – A Washington, D.C. senator faces the extreme climate of Alaska’…
There, fixed it…
Man, I wish she was FAR from ALASKA & stayed there!
