The lie made it around the world several laps over before the truth got on its shoes. But now, The District of Columbia Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has ruled that Officer Brian Sicknick died of natural causes several hours after confronting rioters storming the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6.
The mainstream media, liberals, the president, and even some conservatives have said repeatedly, without evidence, that Sicknick died because he was struck in the head with a fire extinguisher during the riot.
It’s still unclear if he was actually struck on the head, although video from the event clearly shows a fire extinguisher being thrown into the crowd of police. But there was no blunt force trauma observed.
The media had its own agenda, however. On Jan. 8, 2021, The New York Times reported that Sicknick succumbed to injuries sustained during his on-duty efforts to protect the Capitol from a violent mob of pro-Trump rioters. Citing unnamed law enforcement sources, the Times wrote that Sicknick “was struck with a fire extinguisher. More than a month later, the Times updated the story:
Law enforcement officials initially said Mr. Sicknick was struck with a fire extinguisher, but weeks later, police sources and investigators were at odds over whether he was hit. Medical experts have said he did not die of blunt force trauma, according to one law enforcement official.
He died of two strokes suffered several hours later on Jan. 7.
“The USCP accepts the findings from the District of Columbia’s Office of the Chief Medical Examiner that Officer Brian Sicknick died of natural causes. This does not change the fact Officer Sicknick died in the line of duty, courageously defending Congress and the Capitol,” the Capitol Police agency wrote.
On March 14, Julian Elie Khater, 32, of State College, Pennsylvania, and George Pierre Tanios, 39, of Morgantown, West Virginia, were arrested for assaulting Officer Sicknick. They were charged with one count of conspiracy to injure an officer; three counts of assault on a federal officer with a dangerous weapon; one count of civil disorder; one count of obstructing or impeding an official proceeding; one count of physical violence on restricted grounds, while carrying dangerous weapon and resulting in significant bodily injury; and one count of violent entry and disorderly conduct, act of physical violence on Capitol grounds.
So his head wasn’t bashed in with a fire extinguisher, by a Trump supporter? Why would the media lie to us?! ?
The bigger question is when was the last time the media actually told the truth? Those who seek to destroy our great country have infiltrated and permeated the media, academia and our Government at all levels! It’s time to pull back the curtains and expose all of them.
We knew this. Anyone doing just a little digging (outside the ‘mainstream media’) knew that he did not die because of the protests. But Ashli Babbit did die, and her death is subject to a massive coverup. So sad that so many people drink the Kool Aid dished out by DC.
It is always someone else’s fault in Trumpland isn’t it Suzanne. You call it a lie that he was not hit in the head by the fire extinguisher when everyone in the world saw a bit of video that appeared to have been hit in the head. So he did not die from blunt force trauma but he did get hit in the head by the fire extinguisher. How do we know if that trauma did not lead to the strokes? WE don’t .

The determination is likely to significantly inhibit the ability of federal prosecutors to bring homicide charges in connection with Sicknick’s death;’ Washington Examiner (don’t know leanings, don’t read it) ‘initial reports about Sicknick being hit with a fire extinguisher are not true and that medical examiners “did not find signs that the officer sustained any blunt force trauma”;’ and finally the New York Times (left, left, leftist) ‘Investigators have found little evidence to back up the attack with the fire extinguisher as the cause of death.’
A fire extinguisher was thrown and hit an unidentified officer’s helmet but there is no indication that it was Sicknick who was struck. But Ashli Babbit was unarmed and shot to death by an identified officer. Where are the investigation and charges?

The media continually hype lies in order to villify anything and anyone conservative. Where is the investigation for the murder of Ashli Babbitt? This is just one more example of the media working with the left to decimate our country.
It is not just the mainstream media. It is just as bad here too. You get radio talk show hosts that denigrate those who do not think like them. They use compassion for others yet they take an allopathic mentality and fake science and shove it down our throats. The real issue are those who believe everything they are told by the so called professionals and that they know more or better then you.

The media was making up stories along with the government so that they can act like it was a big deal and give Trump supporters a black eye. Bring in the national guard all that crap. I have no problem what people write on this blog. I do not agree with most if not all that is posted but I have no problem with people writing what they believe.
It is sad that some of you are Qanon folks and Trump supporters but most of you people want Suzanne to write what you want to hear.

HARBORGUY, some of us just want to truly know current events and the status of our governance as the state and nation circle the bowl. I truly wish there was honest reporting somewhere, but sadly there is no objectivity remaining and this is about the only non-leftist site not at Alex Jones level. After a career in intelligence I learned to believe that everything heard is a lie and everything seen is a deception until proven otherwise. Sadly some of the most dependable (verifiable, credible) news comes from RT (Russia), SCMP (Hong Kong), and Asia News Now (India). American media has pretty close to zero credibility and I don’t even waste time with it any more. Or to quote Mark Twain: those who do not read the newspapers are uninformed, those who do read the newspapers are misinformed.
And mostly, even though I read every article, I often glean as much from the comments as the news. Other sites (right and left) have become so filled with hatred, virulence and trolls that I have become uncomfortable even placing my posts there for the rancor that I incur or to even be associated with them.
