On Monday, July 27, and again on August 5, Lt. Governor Nancy Dahlstrom will be hosting hearings on the three ballot measures to appear before voters this year. Each public hearing will consist of a statement of support from proponents of the ballot measure and follow with a statement of opposition from a group opposing the measure. After the statements, the public will be invited to give testimony.
Ballot measure 1 will appear before voters in the primary election on August 18 and pertains to resetting campaign finance limits.
Ballot measures 2 and 3 will be on the general election ballot on November 3. Ballot measure 2 seeks to repeal ranked-choice voting and nonpartisan jungle primaries and change independent expenditure group requirements. Ballot measure 3 solidifies the requirement that an eligible voter must be a U.S. citizen.
