It’s campaign season and leading politicians are saying some things they might regret. Case in point, on MSNBC, Kentucky Democrat Gov. Andy Beshear, while trying to make a point about abortion exceptions, said a member of vice presidential candidate JD Vance’s family needs to be raped so Vance will understand the need for abortions.
“Make him go through this,” Beshear said.
Later, when asked about the remark, Beshear refused to apologize.
“What the hell is this? Why is @AndyBeshearKY wishing that a member of my family would get raped?!? What a disgusting person,” Vance wrote in response.
Rep. Thomas Massie of Kentucky said, “Please don’t judge Kentucky based on our Democrat Governor’s disgusting remarks.”
Another piece of evidence submitted to the public that shows how mean and nasty the Democrats really are. Disgusting!!

Even so, when has Trump ever said anything on par with “someone’s family member needs to be raped so they understand abortion” ? The answer: never. These nasty violence-encouraging comments are why public political gatherings are increasingly unsafe. Reference DNC antics at their convention. Time to tell people like Beshear to tone it down and show a little decency.

Which states prohibit a rape victim from having an abortion? Just curious. Does anyone know? I suspect none. Despite abortion is murder, I am pretty sure a woman who found herself pregnant from a rape would be able to abort the baby if she chose. Cannot remember any names, but some Republicans are pushing for a no-excuses abortion ban. And, that would include rape and incest. I am not sure if it includes exemptions for health of the mother though.

I heard Gov. Beshear say the comment on a news program and could hardly believe my ears. This is totally disgusting to wish this on anyone. In a democracy, people are allowed to disagree and still be respected. Obviously, Gov. Beshear has trouble living in a real democracy. The DNC should have apologized for this. That they did not speaks volumes for their so-called “defense of democracy.”
