Biden gave Palestinians $1 billion, proposes another $260 million, after Trump had cut aid to zero

The administration of President Joe Biden has sent more than $1 billion in aid to Palestinians, and proposes sending another $260 million in its FY2024 budget request yet to be approved by Congress, OpenTheBooks.com auditors found.

The U.S. government gave $318.4 million in 2021, $363.9 million in 2022, and $371 million in 2023, a reversal from former President Donald Trump’s August 2018 freeze.

While humanitarian funding is the finest tradition of American generosity, much of its use is now widely understood to have encouraged the culture of Jew hate promoted by Hamas, Palestine Liberation Organization, and the Palestinian Authority.

In 2021, Secretary of State Antony Blinken acknowledged it’s possible the Palestinians could use U.S. aid to restock Hamas’ arsenal of hate.

“We’re going to be working in partnership with the United Nations and the Palestinian Authority to kind of channel aid there in a manner that does its best to go to the people of Gaza,” Blinken said during a press briefing in May 2021. “I’m also sure that the government of Egypt will have some role in that. As we’ve seen in life, as we all know in life, there are no guarantees, but we’re going to do everything that we can to ensure that this assistance reaches the people who need it the most.”

Recently, after Hamas’ unexpected and bloody attack on Israel, Biden announced $100 million in humanitarian aid being sent to Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank, as the Department of Treasury announced sanctions on the cryptocurrency exchange that aided Hamas, The Washington Post reported.

Biden also said an “unprecedented” aid package was being readied for Israel – $14.3 billion out of a $105 billion package that Congress must vote on to fund Israel, Ukraine, the southern border and more.

In January 2018, the U.S. released $65 million to the UN for Palestinians.

Then-President Trump, sitting next to Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, said he was hopeful for peace in the Middle East and noted that Palestinian support from the U.S. should end.

“That money is on the table,” he said before cutting the aid to zero later that year. “That money is not going to them unless they sit down and negotiate peace. Because I can tell you that Israel does want to make peace, and they’re going have to want peace, too, or we’re going to have nothing to do with them any longer.”

      Israel didn’t start the fire
      It was always burning
      Sine the world’s been turning
      Israel didn’t start the fire
      No, they didn’t light it
      But they are fighting it

      Thbpbpthpt!

    • How about stop sending billions of tax dollars to terrorists, who’s goal is to slaughter ALL? Why support people who chant “Death to America!”??
You clearly can not understand the difference between a democratic state defending itself and a terrorist state hellbent on exterminating those they do not agree with.

        • Thank you Lori, I agree there is nuance.
That being said to believe that funds sent to Gaza/Palestinians will not end up at least partially with Hamas terrorists, is naive. In supporting Hamas, Palestinians are complicit, many comprising the “army” Hamas uses to attack the Jewish people.
KB in the above post indicated that Israel uses funds to “slaughter” Palestinians. I believe there is a fundamental difference between the actions of Hamas on October 7 and the current self-defense by Israel, to preserve its very existence.

    • Are you serious? Do you even read/watch the news? Its not hidden what atrocities Hamas has done to innocent civilians. Isreal is not lobbing rockets willy nilly into gaza killing whoever they can. They are specifically targeting members of a terrorist group. A group that is using civilians as shields. Open your eyes!

    • Problem for you is, the only people Israel is trying to slaughter are the ones involved with Hamas.

Notice none of these idiots ever calls for Hamas to lay down their arms or for them to return the hostages they took?

  1. What I want to know is just how much of that aid is being funneled back to the Biden family and administration? Has there been any Hunter spotting’s recently? Or Jimmy Biden?

  2. How about no more empire? How about no more foreign aid? How about we tackle the massive corruption in our government? How about we disband a good half of the federal agencies and send this power to the states? How about the remaining agencies are scattered throughout the US? How about we talk about disbanding the fed so currency can not be manipulated by bankers or politicians and return to a neutral standard? How about we stop printing money and impoverishing ourselves and future generations because we are too weak and cowardly to do something about the massive hole we have dug for our comfort and greed?

    • Micah,
Those are some very good questions and probably a good place to start a conversation from, it’s very a different tact than the antisemitic claptrap that so many have been spewing forth here lately whenever anything related to Palestinian comes up.

  3. And we wonder why the world is in this mess . Look no farther than American foreign policy. We have used money and power as a leverage to control people all over this rock. It is working great no wars everybody likes us and we all get along great. Good job Washington.

  4. From the looks of it, Hamas has used all humanitarian aid to build their tunnel complex and stock it with weapons. Biden is actively rearming them and enabling their warfighting capability. Cheers –

  5. Stop ALL foreign aid until we can root out all the traitors in Congress. A good start would be to prosecute all Senators and House members who hold dual citizenship if they have not registered as Foreign Agents!

  6. If there is a bad idea out there that the ‘Biden” Administration has NOT embraced, it is ONLY because they haven’t thought of it.
