Anchorage election administrator resigns

A mailbox in Anchorage has Anchorage ballots exposed during a recent election, showing how insecure mail-in elections can be.

Anchorage’s Election Administrator William Northrop resigned from his position just days before the city’s April 1 election, leaving Municipal Clerk Jamie Heinz to step into the role she held previously, before being elevated to Clerk.

The announcement came in a brief statement from Heinz, who did not offer an explanation.

“Mr. Northrop has respectfully resigned from his position as the Municipal Election Administrator. As we near Election Day on April 1, I will lead the MOA Election Team in our work to administer the Regular Municipal Election and can assure the public that this change has not and will not affect the integrity of the election. We thank Mr. Northrop for his service to the community and wish him well in his future endeavors,” Heinz said.

    • With the opaque and intermediated sham of mail-in voting, election integrity does not exist.
Nor does the privacy of the ballot, a FORMERLY sacrosanct principle.

  1. Doesn’t matter Mail-in Voting is rigged, Anchorage assembly was mostly center right prior when we had in-person voting.

    • seeker,
I totally agree with you, however I would take this further, by mandating in person (mandatory valid id-us citizen only) voting, no mail in ballots (overseas military exception) period, end of subject. The citizens of Anchorage need to make this change happen. If they don’t, they’ll keep getting these leftist marxist candidates teaching their children, determining rules regulations, etc. of all Anchorage schools, determining all the fiscal spending in their local and state governments, and essentially determining the fate of all Alaskans. We have seen what they have done and are now doing, that fate is very dire indeed.

      Done, for now.

  2. Who counted the votes🤔 … mostly government, ex-gov and school employees etc. Or mostly left wing insiders 🤷🏼👨🏻‍💻 job security.

  3. Suzanne ma’am if you won’t get in trouble? could you please let we the people know how to find the judges & oath breakers who give us rank choice voting & tread on us. Suzanne Suzanne Suzanne for governor thank you ma’am

  4. Nobody would resign this job just days before an election without a powerful reason. If he believes some shenanigans were afoot, he ought to come forward with his concerns before it’s too late. If he’s been let go for cause, the city owes us an explanation. The timing is a big problem, one that puts the entire election process under suspicion.

    • I think he just got tired of pulling shenanigans with the Assembly..As of right now, he probably can’t come forward, due to his retirement in Jeopardy. He need to be careful just how to do this..

  5. Everyone has seen how the Municipal Elections have been handled. He must have folded under the pressure to do the job accurately, or the way The Assembly wants it done.

  6. I think he found something they were doing that he was not comfortable with. Probably did not to be associated with it.
