Trump’s 2024 will be busy: Trial on a Monday, followed by Super Tuesday

A federal judge in former president Donald Trump’s election interference legal case has set the court date: March 4, one day before the Republican Super Tuesday, when many state Republican Party members, including Alaska’s, will vote on their nominee for president. Currently, Trump is the far-and-away favorite for Republicans, many of whom have dug in their political heels after watching the judicial system attack the former president repeatedly.

The charges against Trump involve alleged attempts to change the outcome of the 2020 presidential election. Trump’s attorneys have tried but failed to push the court date into 2026, well after the election in November of 2024.

U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan turned that offer down. The political spectacle will instead take place almost simultaneously with when more than a 15 states conducted caucuses.

Super Tuesday includes Alabama, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Georgia, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, and Virginia and probably North Dakota and Wyoming. Several other states will have their caucuses the week after, on March 12, which would be right in the middle of the trial.

In all, Trump faces 91 charges among the four indictments from Florida, New York, Georgia, and the Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. Some charges relate to alleged payments Trump made to porn star Stormy Daniels, and his possession of classified documents at Mar-a-Lago.

Trump’s court dates for the Stormy Daniels case and the classified documents case are both in May. The The Republican National Convention will gather on July 15, 2024 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

On TruthSocial, Trump posted this thoughts about the indictments:

“Deranged Jack Smith & his team of Thugs, who were caught going to the White House just prior to Indicting the 45th President of the United States (an absolute No No!), have been working on this Witch Hunt for almost 3 years, but decided to bring it smack in the middle of Crooked Joe Biden’s Political Opponent’s campaign against him. Election Interference! Today a biased, Trump Hating Judge gave me only a two month extension, just what our corrupt government wanted, SUPER TUESDAY. I will APPEAL!”

“Page 2: How do you have an Indictment that is based almost entirely on the findings of the January 6th Unselect Committee of Marxists, Fascists, and Political Hacks, when these same lowlifes, who have been caught lying for years about Russia, Russia, Russia, Ukraine, Ukraine, Ukraine, FISA, the Fake Dossier, & much more, purposely & Illegally DESTROYED & DELETED all of the Evidence, Findings, & Proof of the January 6th Committee? When will Deranged Jack Smith Criminally Charge the Committee?” Trump wrote on Truth Social, his social media website.

Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee set Set. 6 for the arraignment of Trump and his alleged co-conspirators for the case brought by a state prosecutor. Joe Biden won in Georgia by 12,670 votes out of over 5 million votes case, according to the hand count audit required by state law. It was the first time a Democrat had won in George since 1992, when voters in the Peach State chose Bill Clinton over incumbent President George H.W. Bush.

    • He will. From the news I’m reading his numbers have only gotten better from all this political persecution. This means that even liberals are jumping ship and recognizing how fake these charges are and waking up to the truth. Biden has royally screwed up (again) by trying to jail Trump rather than fight fairly.

  1. This is so nuts. Positioning the trial on top of super Tuesday. I guess democrats are fine with this, which tells you exactly what they think of our election system.

    • You do realize the judge determined the date of the trial, not “the democrats”, right? Trumps team wanted to delay it until 2026, which is ludicrous.

      • Judge = Democrat

That formula works at least 80 percent of the time.

Judge = Uniparty loyalist and minion

THAT formula works at least 90 percent of the time.

      • You do realize the “judge” is an 0bama appointee who has made it clear in the past that she is 100% pure anti-Trump.
Selection of this date is solely for the benefit of the Democrats.
        .
And, Fieldhand’s comment is not about the judge, it is about the silence coming from the other side of the political aisle. There are no democrats, anywhere, that are publicly calling this what it obviously is, election interference.

  2. Timing is everything. Make it as difficult as possible for Trump to campaign.
    .
That is, and was always the intent of these indictments.

    • “Getting” Trump has never been the goal, harassing and bleeding him dry is.

A side order of doing everything they can to make him the nominee to help Biden.

          • What else do you want me to call it?

Democrats and fake Republicans are doing everything they can to remove Trump from the ballot – right up to and including unprecedented abuse of federal law enforcement powers. But I’m expected to believe that they are doing this – because they ‘super secretly’ want Trump on the ballot?

Charges that require mind reading to prosecute. Charges that require looking at ‘Stop the Steal’ on one hand, and the Confederate States in the other and concluding that “These are the same!” Legal moves that will -permanently- accelerate the public erosion of trust in government – because they ‘actually’ want to help Trump defeat the Seven Dwarves and Vivek in the primary?

So let me guess, to avoid this ‘trap’ – we need to nominate a nice, well behaved establishment Republican that has zero hope of winning the Rust Belt – and then another four years of whining and fundraising?

            Just low IQ, delusional nonsense.

        • Yes, you radical leftist extremists are delusional. Thank you for admitting and agreeing to that fact.

YOU are the enemy of all that is honest, and decent, and stable.
YOU are the enemy of freedom, and of civilization itself.
But you are too stupid, and too arrogant, to understand any of that.
ALL that you can focus on is blindly following the marching orders of your globalist, new-world-odor puppetmasters.
You are indeed, fundamentally, non-performing characters. Or non-thinking characters, at the very least.

          • Apu,

I have to apologize to you here. While I was aware of your one-word comment, and had been responding to it, due to bouncing between threads, I was under the mistaken notion that I was responding to another poster, one of stalwart anti-freedom trolls who regularly infests MRAK. So most or all of what I said in this previous comment was NOT meant for you, personally.

          • All good, I figured as much, I’ve seen your posts.
I don’t usually do one-word posts, but it was late, late on a Sunday.

These posters are just the same handful of fake Republicans handicapping the right wing, year after year. Texas has had exactly the same problem for well over a decade – to the point where Democrats and ‘Republicans’ recently united to impeach conservative AG Ken Paxton just weeks after he was re-elected.

Same story in Alaska – ‘Bill Walker/Lisa Murkowski’ fake-Rs that can’t win a primary in a red state, so they kick over the entire board and willingly hand the keys over to the Democrats and saddle us with Ranked Voting.

          • ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ – Matthew 22:39. I’m not feelin’ the love, Jeffy.

        • Ahh…. got it.
The Delusional was not a direct response to MA, it was a comment on the thread.
Thanks, did not get your intent.

  3. Coincides perfectly with Super Tuesday. Timing. Coordination. Collaboration. Conspiracy. Collusion. Where’s the press asking the important questions?
    .
    Crickets.

        • Well, that ain’t gonna happen, Sweetie. The Conservative Justices are basically an educated, intellectual bunch, who really want nothing to do with a low-life like Trump. Now that they have their lifetime appointments, they’re willing and ready to cast Trump upon the trash heap of History. These Justices value their reputations in scholarly legal circles, and won’t let themselves be seen as sellouts. Just look at how fiercely they backpedaled after the recent, highly-unpopular Roe reversal.

Trump still thinks he owns them, like he could some low-level judge in the Bronx, and he’s about to find out how wrong he really is.

          • “Trump still thinks he owns them, like he could some low-level judge in the Bronx, and he’s about to find out how wrong he really is.”
            Interesting comment.
            .
Curiously, if a Trump appointed judge were to hear a case against a prominent democrat, I am sure you would think and say the opposite. That for some reason they would ignore the rule of law and do what Trump says.
            .
Like all leftists, you seem to think you can have it both ways.

  4. The long litany of bizarre allegations alone should cause everyone to question whether ANY of the charges against President Trump are true.

    • I am questioning it because there has been nothing except constant investigations into Trump since he announced he was running for President in 2015.
That is eight years of constant investigation. Yet… the charges are all… … iffy at best.
      .
Seriously, look at the NY State one. A Trump business applied for a loan from a bank, and overvalued the property they were using as collateral. The bank said OK, Trump’s business accepted, then paid back the loan. No one was harmed. But. the NY State AG is filing charges for… something. He lied? I do not know. The Manhattan DA’s charges are equally ludicrous.
      .
If the worst thing GA can come up with is “Trump said the election was stolen from him” it is weak indeed.

      • “Iffy”. You’re a smart guy, why would you downplay 91 felony charges? Do you think lawyers for the USA are in some conspiracy or are completely inept

        • Brainwashed.

Look how many folks masked up because of some conspiracy theory of a virus that was gonna kill everyone. Never came to be. Actual most of us survived (as I had predicted) but still there are those who think covid is gonna wipe out all of humanity.
          Yes, mass brainwashing is real.

        • Because each and every one of those 91 “felony” charges are based on “novel application” a laws.
Here is a tip. Look for an article named “Ham Sandwich Nation” It is from the Columbia Law Review. It is impossible for you to not see the similarities here.

      • You don’t seem to understand the underwriting and overall credit approval process. At a minimum, Trump received a better interest rate than he should have qualified for. That would mean the shareholders of the lending institution were defrauded.

        • Every county or borough assessor who under-assessed property values for tax purposes should be tried for defrauding the non-property owning public and banks dumb enough to use those assessments to establish true value.

          • Would only be true if county or borough assessor’s process for performing assessments did not comply with county or borough code.

          • So if chronic mis-assessment is codified then one has to argue that property values are subjective. Or assessments for loans and assessments for taxes are completely different.

    • There are some with genuine legitimacy. Not saying correct, but with enough legal standing to merit examination.

      The vast majority is lawfare.

      • Legitimacy is a bit of a stretch.
If the IRS caught me overvaluing things I donated, it might have some legitimacy. These charges are “novel applications” which means they are using an interpretation of the law that no one else thought of before. Likely for good reason.

    • RINO, do your sociopathic and globalist overlords at least give you mint-flavored boots to lick?
Or do you have to settle for the standard jackboot leather?

    • Just because you are terrified of someone, does not mean they don’t have rights as an American citizen. You labeling people terrorist is a very Nazi thing to do. To dehumanize your fellow people just because you are afraid, makes you the danger to our society.

      • So you’re not for freedom of speech??
By calling someone a danger to society for calling someone a terrorist it sure seemed like you don’t like freedom of speech.

        • The irony of a contemporary radical leftist extremist (i.e., fascist) pretending to uphold and support the concept of freedom of speech is utterly breathtaking in its astronomical-level audacity and hyprocrisy.
