MIA Mary hid out in ‘home office’ during Chicago DNC

Mary Peltola

Rep. Mary Peltola stayed far away from Chicago during the Democratic National Convention. It just was not “on brand” for her to be seen there, even though she is Alaska’s top-elected Democrat. Instead, during the middle of the historic convention, she posted a photo of herself working in a hotel room overlook a river in an undisclosed location, possibly in Alaska.

The liberal news organization POLITICO was quick to label hers as “the best in-home office setup,” never stopping to consider that the scene was implausible: It was neither Bethel, Alaska, nor South Anchorage’s Goldenview neighborhood, which is where she actually spends most of her time, when she is in Alaska.

Bethel is a flat part of the world, filled with swamps and tundra. Its housing is rugged and bungalow-like, with snow machines and four-wheelers parked outside next to the heating fuel tank. Unlike the photo that POLITICO supposes is her home, there are no travel trailers out in the Y-K Delta.

Bethel, Alaska

The liberal-leaning machine of the media, however, looks for moments like these to glorify its favorite politicians on the left, and Peltola is surely one of those.

Let us know if you recognize the location behind Peltola in the photo at the top of the page, so Alaskans can know where she hid out during the Democratic National Convention, refusing to show up as a delegate so she would not have to cast her vote for Kamala Harris for president.

  1. Where is Willie Keppel when you need him? He’d know. Is the location in the photo Bethel? They have a lot of housing with those roof colors. That seems too easy though.

  2. Oops. I was looking at the bottom photo. Mountains in the background? Maybe down around Juneau in one of the outlying places?

  3. So this is what democrat politicians do now, they hide. I guess it worked with Biden, but I think the pandemic had more to do with that. Hiding, not answering questions, not holding a press conference or only facing a friendly crowd seems to be their pattern. It does a disservice to the American people, but I am not sure any of them actually care about the “American People” they quote so much in their speeches.
As for the photo, check out the TV tray for a desk, very folksy. Guessing from the mountain range in the back and the trees, if it is in Alaska, it is somewhere south of the Denali Highway but honestly this could be anywhere.

    • We should write an email to her to ask why she is not accountable to the people who voted for her. Isn’t that why the people vote? To have representation based on their values?
Maybe next time we can vote harder and have someone else prove that they won’t obey the will of the people.

  4. Mary is no leader. She is a rider. As in free rider.
Typical Democrat. Any very rich men out there looking? Mary needs to know.

  5. She would have really fit in best at the free neutering nutted and aborted DNC convention.

I am sure there were many prospects of finding a nutted or neutered partner to carry on her mission of hamstringing Alaskans at the wonderful convention with all the pro-Hamas anti Israel protestors rampaging the gatekeepers outside.

  6. On Zoom you can choose a custom backdrop…this is most likely.
I did like the neutered, nutted DNC remark!

  7. It’s not a silt river in the background which would indicate the interior, and not flat terrain so not Bethel, so I am guessing it’s somewhere on the KPB.

    • Guessing from the trees and that trailer, it would have to have at least five floors. Fairbanks Princess would fit, but needs more buildings in the background. That she was seen in Kenai likely seals it – unless that is a photo montage or artificial window background…

  8. Oh, is the Kenai Princess Lodge across the river from Cooper Landing? I was going to say that I do not recall of any buildings that tall in the Kenai area, but I have never laid eyes on the lodge. I wonder if she went fishing while there?

  9. Maybe she’s on lock down. According to the media, we have active cases of Monkey Pox, M Pox, EEE, and MNA (I think that’s what they’ve coined it).

  10. I know this view! I’ve been here and know that view! That is the Kenai River in the background. I’ve sat on the ridge and watched folks fish!
