As a mother of two sons and 5 grandsons I hope they are never accused of sexual abuse by a women with absolutely no collaborating evidence. It seems our world has become one where women never lie and men are nothing but sexual predators.
As a retired principal, I assure you, females are as capable of making things up and lying as any man. This whole fiasco not only sickens me, it makes me very sad that the US Senate confirmation process has become a circus and mockery. I vividly remember the Bork and Thomas confirmation hearings. We have been here before. You cannot show me where a Republican Senator has EVER exhibited such behavior in the confirmation of someone being nominated for a position. It is with disbelief that not ONE Democrat has come forward on behalf of Judge Kavanaugh.
Have they no shame? What happened to the party of my father? He would not recognize it today. It is time for women to stand for the men in their lives. They are all too afraid. This is all about personal destruction against someone who shares our values and believes in the Constitution of the United States.
It is mob rule in its worse form.

Judy- Can you please help me to understand what corroborating evidence you expect Dr. Blasey Ford to produce? She has notes from therapy in 2012, has taken and passed a polygraph test, and named a witness that the committee won’t call to testify. Since her story became public she has faced death threats and ceaseless media interruption at her home and job. It’s clear that none of this process has been fun, nor will it benefit her. She won’t get a reality show or a better job because of it.
You mention you’re a mother and were an educator, as is Dr. Blasey Ford. So please tell me, what would possibly convince you to put yourself, your students, and your family in danger and in the middle of a media circus if not the truth? If this is one big sham to bring personal destruction to Judge Kavanaugh as you say, then why not let the FBI investigate? They’re some of the smartest and bravest men and women in the world, surely they could figure out the truth in a reasonable time, especially with cooperation from the Senate and Judge Kavanaugh. Dr. Blasey Ford has already made it clear that she wants an investigation to come forward, so I’ll take a wild guess that she would be willing to cooperate with the investigators.
I would be glad to. First of all there is not a witness of which the Senate has not spoken to. In all the reports I have seen every witness Ford has given names of have fell to substantiate her claims. I feel sorry for Dr Ford. She is being used by the Democrats who are only using her for political gain. Did you know that Judge Kavanaugh and all of his family have also received death threats. Judge Kavanaugh has been investigated 6 times and nothing of this appeared on any of those investigations. Does it not seem strange to you these accusations only appeared when it looked like he would be appointed to the Supreme Court. I saw the same thing with Borg, Thomas and now Judge Kavanaugh. The Democrats have a track record on this. Plain and simple. As I said how would you like for someone to come out of your past….maybe you knew them maybe you did not and make an accusation towards you? Oh by the way, a polygraph is not a lie detector test. AFter reading the details of that test it was unusual indeed. My believe is based on this same pattern of destruction Democrats and liberal groups are known for…been there-done that.
The only witness she has mentioned is Mark Judge, who she said was in the room during the assault. The committee has refused to call him for testimony. Other than testimony from Mr. Judge, what more evidence could she possibly provide? I understand that a polygraph is not a lie detector test and can absolutely be manipulated with training, but should it be given no weight that Dr. Blasey Ford was willing to sit for the polygraph and Judge Kavanaugh will not?
As for the timing of her accusations, she has been very clear in explaining that she only spoke out when Judge Kavanaugh was on the short list for the Supreme Court because she felt it her duty to make it clear to the committee that she had been the victim of an assault at the hands of Judge Kavanaugh. Often, survivors take months, years, or decades to speak to anyone about their experiences for fear that they won’t be believed or will be harmed again by the perpetrator after they get a light sentence or no sentence at all (see the Schneider plea deal right here in AK). I see nothing suspicious about this timing, especially given the fact that she first told someone on record in 2012 – long before anyone could know that this allegation could be used in a “pattern of destruction” that you believe Democratic groups are so known for.
Thoughtful American – Mark Judge signed a sworn affidavit stating that it never happened. The female friend that Ford claims was there has come out and said that she never witnessed it. Therefore, why are you so quick to believe what comes out of this woman’s mouth? The laws state that every person is innocent until proven guilty yet you are quick to condemn him based on no factual evidence at all. And don’t say that “because she testified it happened” as the reason for your acceptance that it is a reality. If you believe everything that people say, and don’t think they will lie or have incorrect memories of something, than you are gullible.
Off the top of my head, there was Sen. Bob Packwood’s performance against Clarence Thomas’s nomination, shortly before Packwood had to resign for abusing women. Not just appointment nominations, but Republican members of Congress utilized affairs, sexual assault, and worse as political weapons against Clinton, Condit, and John Edwards.
I hope you are watching the confirmation today. Pretty obvious of what is happening.
By the way Judge Kavanaugh said he would take a lie detector test. So you are willing to ruin a man’s entire career and life on something that a woman said happened 35 years ago. Look at the history. Democrats do this every time they don’t want someone on the bench. Sorry many of us are tired of the same ole crap. You are going to believe what you want to believe. Sorry you have no proof of its truth. I hope you are never put in a situation like this and have to defend yourself against false accusations with no proof.
