Juneau will conduct another mail-in election

The Juneau Assembly on Monday voted to continue another year of vote-by-mail during the Oct 5 municipal election. Before the method gets locked in beyond 2021’s election, the Assembly has vowed to ask for public input.

The October 2020 election in Juneau was conducted by the Anchorage Elections Office, and that will repeat this year, costing Juneau taxpayers 56 percent more than traditional elections.

  1. We beseeched them not to do this for all the practical reasons but reason does not seem to prevail in this day and age. Let us hope that more of our citizenry makes themselves heard and we never send out unrequested ballots again.

    • Here is one way to look at this form of voting Jimbo: “Most political scientists see RCV and increased voter turnout as a threat to conservative-controlled status quo.”
With that in mind I can certainly see why you and your ilk think you’ve lost your city. Heheh!

  2. The only way Democrats can win an election is to cheat. They can’t win the old fashioned way…campaign, be honest, and fulfill your promises. Not place control over the population and make yourself rich, like so many Democrats do.

    • Like the way Don Trump did in his last race and when he didn’t win he attempted a coup on the Congress in the Capital bldg., eh Jimbo.
Yessir the grifter in chief couldn’t handle losing and needed to cheat but you are thinking it’s only Democrats that cheat. Keep em coming Jimbo.
