House Chair on Homeland Security says Sen. Cruz should be on TSA ‘no fly’ list

Sens. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, Josh Hawley, R-Mo., and Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Colo. should be placed on the TSA “no fly” list, for their part in challenging the Electoral College, said the House Chairman of the Committee on Homeland Security.

Rep. Bennie G. Thompson, a Mississippi Democrat, made the remarks Monday on the Joe Madison radio show on Sirius XM.

“There’s no question about it,” Thompson said, and added that further charges and expulsion from Congress should also occur.

The remarks were first reported in The Washington Times.

Cruz is a popular figure in Alaska, winning the most votes in the 2020 Republican presidential preference poll, and having the most delegates from Alaska at the 2016 Republican National Convention. He has traveled to Alaska numerous times to campaign for Sen. Dan Sullivan, and crisscrossed the state with Sullivan this past summer.

    • And it’s growing every day with no comment from any Democratic Congressman or Senator condemning the censorship. My guess is that it’s out of fear of being blackballed

    Section 6: Rights and Disabilities of Members

    “The Senators and Representatives…shall in all Cases, except Treason, Felony and Breach of the Peace, be ***privileged from Arrest during their Attendance at the Session of their respective Houses, and in going to and returning from the same; and for any Speech or Debate in either House, they shall not be questioned in any other Place.***”

    So if DHS were to attempt to place Sen. Cruz on a “no fly” list, they would be violating the very oath they swore to uphold and protect.

    Yay…One step closer to another tyranical 3rd-rate hellhole.

  11. I just listened to Pres Trump’s entire speech prior to the attack on.the Capitol. I got tired of hearing all the reports & even my sister telling me how bad it was. I was expecting such venom that I would be repulsed too. It wasn’t there. I even played some parts several times looking for the poison. Nope, not there, for me anyway. Yes he sure did encourage everybody to March to the capitol to demonstrate peacefully in support of what Sen Cruz & others were trying to do. It was being done in exactly the right way, on the floor of the Congress.

    He bagged on Pence, as people have stated. Personally I didn’t really like that because I believe the VP was going to do what he believed was right & within the Constitution. But it was nothing that would be unexpected for the President. He says what he thinks, which is why people like him & why they hate him.

    But there was nothing that would warrant impeachment or using the 25th A. There was nothing that would warrant prosecuting Cruz & friends as is being suggested. There was nothing said that would have caused me to storm the Capitol & break in etc etc. The people who did committed various crimes & should be prosecuted as should have so many who had rioted numerous times elsewhere in 2020.

    But these suggestions of impeachment, 25th A and labeling those who advocate for the President as terrorists are totally out of line and are on a witch hunt for Republicans who won’t be controlled. It will only make matters far worse & confirm conservatives greatest fears. Shutting down opposing voices & invoking penalties for speaking your mind is exactly the way forward to more radical action, not less. Maybe that is the goal.

  12. Unfortunately, MRAK Will become a target from the left.
    And with the full weight of the Government, MRAK could be removed the internet. Hope not, but we will wait and see….buckle up, its going to be a long 8 years.

    • I’m sure Suzanne and other conservative blogs are well aware of this threat to the first amendment. When you people complain that you’re being censored, maybe she is protecting you from yourself and a lawsuit, and maybe she doesn’t want to be accused by the left of inciting violence. The left have their radar on and are picking up on any perceived threat by using their wildest imagination and doing so. They feel empowered because they have socialists in the White House and also both houses of Congress two teaspoons of turmeric and the media on their side. Actually I kind of like their odds of succeeding. The tables are stacked in their favor.

        I try my best to self-limit, but I just keep rising to the bait from the trolls.
        I posted a lot as “my2cents” on ADN, until they got picky about a subscription. Now they ask 60 bucks per year? I donate three times that to MRAK, and 77 bucks to Epoch Times.
        Maybe ADN should have considered publishing good old news, instead of propaganda.

  20. We must resist these totalitarian goons. Failure to resist will ultimately lead to a passive acceptance of their tyranny, this is what they are banking on.. Given the fact that they now can manipulate elections at will our options have been narrowed. I have lost faith in the National Republican Party. Leaders like Mitt and Lisa are merely only better disciplined socialist than their full on commie Democrat friends. Next step? Thankfully, we still have a two party system in America, Traitors and Patriots. Each individual American must decide in which group they will stand.
