The Republican-led House Oversight Committee announced its first impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden is scheduled for Sept. 28, next Thursday.

The impeachment inquiry committee will have power to subpoena records and communications to dig up evidence and will likely be a thorn in Biden’s side heading into the 2024 election year.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., last week directed three House Committees to lead the inquiry, pointing to evidence that the president’s son, Hunter Biden, and his associates allegedly received millions of dollars from foreign entities and that the president knew about it.

Biden’s supporters immediately pushed back, arguing there was no evidence for the inquiry. McCarthy responded, saying the inquiry is to find the facts and that there is plenty of evidence. He pointed to about 150 U.S. Treasury Department suspicious activities reports filed by the agency around Hunter Biden’s dealings as well as bank records and testimony from IRS whistleblowers who said the Biden family and associates received around $20 million from entities in adversarial nations.

“The Treasury Department alone has more than 150 transactions involving the Biden family and other business associates that were flagged as suspicious activity by U.S. banks,” McCarthy said in his announcement. “Even a trusted FBI informant has alleged a bribe to the Biden family. Biden used his official office to coordinate with Hunter Biden’s business partners about Hunter’s role in Burisma, a Ukrainian energy company.”

Biden has repeatedly dismissed questions about his involvement in any kind of overseas payment scheme. He brushed aside the impeachment inquiry, but his campaign released a more aggressive statement in response.

“As Donald Trump ramped up his demands for a baseless impeachment inquiry, Kevin McCarthy cemented his role as the Trump campaign’s super-surrogate by turning the House of Representatives into an arm of his presidential campaign,” Ammar Moussa, spokesperson Biden’s presidential campaign, said in a statement, adding that “…McCarthy unequivocally said he would not move forward with an impeachment inquiry without holding a vote on the House floor. What has changed since then?

“Several members of the Speaker’s own conference have come out and publicly panned impeachment as a political stunt, pointing out there is no evidence of wrongdoing by President Biden as Republicans litigate the same debunked conspiracy theories they’ve investigated for over four years,” Moussa added.

The impeachment inquiry will be led by House Oversight Chair Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., as well as Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, of the Judiciary Committee as well as Rep. Jason Smith, R-Mo., who leads the Ways and Means Committee.

These days, most Democrats have brain scans and MRIs taken in the area you just described. Radiologists get better views and can assess which part of their brains are undeveloped and dysfunctional.
All of that BS likely shrinks the gray matter and causes early dementia, repetitive mumbling, and a gross ignoranus condition.

        • I can only speak for myself, but I think we should prosecute Biden and Trump and any other politician who breaks the law. Period.

If guilty of these alleged offences, the offender should be punished to the fullest extent of the law. And again, we live in a country where justice should be blind. It shouldn’t matter if you are black or white, left or right, young or old, rich or poor. Justice should be equal for all, and I still maintain that we should withhold judgement until all evidence is presented.

Each person gets the chance to face their accuser in a court and the burden of proof is on the prosecution, not the defense.

If Trump gets acquitted in court, I will be fine with that. If Biden is found guilty in court, I will be fine with that. But I want to see this play out in a court of law, not the court of public opinion.

          • I agree.
However, the law must be applied equally. It was basically what you asked for in your comment. It isn’t being applied anywhere near equally. There is no excuse for the authorities to ignore the unsecure storage of classified documents by a former VP (who did not have legal authority to take those documents) but then call a raid on the former President’s home, despite the fact the documents were secured in accordance with the authorities.
            And the list goes on…
My grief with all the ridiculousness surrounding Trump’s (so-called) crimes is how ridiculous the charges really are.
Trump has been under constant investigation since the moment he announced he was running for President in 2015. But the best they can get is he overvalued property on a loan application, paid a whore, and said there were odd things happening in the election that need to be investigated.
            .
Equal treatment under the law. Something the folks on the left do not seem to understand.

You haven’t seen much or you wouldn’t be so restricted in knowledge. I would guess you don’t use fossil fuels and drive a EV. You need a long talk with yourself.

    • How many specific charges has the Republican majority listed for this impeachment?

Can you list them for me?

      Just curious.

      • Failure to report income to the IRS, because it was washed through numerous transactions to avoid detection. Use of multiple aliases in financial transactions in order to avoid detection. Use of the Office of the Vice-President to set up meetings for the sole purpose of self-enrichment. Treason for accepting money through third parties originally derived from our nuclear enemies.
Use of government apparatus (DOJ) for the purpose of prosecuting and eliminating political competitors. How’s that just for starters? The bank transactions, emails, and witness testimony will provide evidence.
        .
Any fool with half a brain, or IQ above 50 already knows that Joe Biden is a corrupt mfer and has used positions in government to obtain wealth.

  1. They claim no evidence when pictures of Hunter Biden are all over with crack and hookers. There’s an insane amount of evidence courtesy of Hunter’s laptop. Not to mention all the financial payouts sent to Hunter to fund his drugs and lifestyle. Any one of these are enough to impeach Biden.

    • That’s not evidence. That’s all just a series of awkward coincidences.

Now a non existent pee tape? That’s evidence. Just ask any Democrat.

    • How can Hunter Biden be impeached? He is not an elected official.

Financial payments to Hunter to fund his drug habit are not impeachable offences for Joe Biden unless he was involved. And if there is evidence that Joe Biden was involved, throw the book at him. Justice should be equal for all. left or right, black or white, young or old, commit the crime, suffer the punishment.

But just like Trump, I will withhold judgement until I see the evidence. Because just like justice should be equal for all, each person is innocent until proven guilty. And that is in a court of law, not the court of public opinion.

  2. About time! This lying, cheating bastard of a president should be impeached, then sent to prison for treason. Democrats! Uhgg!!

  3. My bet it fails but it may open more eyes to what Washington is doing to its citizens like stealing, lying and laughing at us taxpayers.

    • It’s got no chance of happening. The Democrats will not support it. That includes Princess, Collins, and Pierre Delecto.

      And nobody wants President Harris.

But: it’s important to expose what kind of corrupt lowlife Biden is.

  4. Amazing how the same people claiming there is no evidence regarding Biden swore up and down there were mountains of evidence against Trump.

Odd how perspective changes when it’s your guy.

      • There are only 91 indictments filed.
When it hits the 200 mark I will look into it…Maybe then there might be a jaywalking infraction in there He would most certainly be on the hook for some serious jailtime and heavy fines. Possibly life without parole at Gitmo with waterboarding at least once a day by lefty trolls getting their jollies.

        • Here is a preview of the evidence, from my understanding:

          – Phone calls with Georgia SOS Brad Raffensberger “I need 11,780 votes”
          – Trump lawyers stating Trump confirmed to them all documents had been turned over. They had not been turned over.
          – Trump employees testifying that Trump asked them to destroy video footage of moving documents.
          – Trump employees testifying that Trump coordinated the concealment of documents.
          – Trump statements to FBI in direct conflict with the truth.
          – Witness testimony regarding the Georgia fake electors.

These are documented in the grand jury indictments, and these jurors determined the evidence was enough to refer charges.

  5. This is going to be so much fun, watching the 15 or so ultra MAGA “Republicans” dig their kidnapped party a very deep grave.

  6. He wouldn’t be removed from office before the election, but what if he was? Do you know what happens? The VP becomes president. I’m not religious, but god help us if that happens.

    • I am, and I’ve got a feeling if we end up President Harris God may choose to reconsider humanity as a viable concept.

    • He will not be removed because the D’s have control of the Senate.
The only benefit this charade will provide is exposing all the information that the media has been outright ignoring for years.

  7. With all 91 phony charges from years ago and all coming down at once for #45 from the left the long awaited impeachment hearings for #46 will look more like retaliation from the right.
I am sure Joes strategists knew this was inevitable when the right won the house and had planned the timing long long ago to flood #45 with everything under the sun just to normalize/minimize the impact of 46’s brazen and foolishly careless money transactions He had been planning and participating since before and during Obamas 8 year reign which I am sure He was aware and more likely a cheerleader of and possibly a recipient of. You dont live in Martha’s Vineyard on POTUS salary alone.
The sad part of the s**tshow is the obvious and proven corruption of the FBI DOJ IRS and others who deliberately turned a blind eye to everything from the laptop info, 150+money transaction red flags, whistleblowers from FBI/IRS, credible witness testimony from Ukraine, Hunters use of air force 2 to travel with Joe to foreign destinations,Hunters reckless spending habits, Gifting of a very expensive car from Kazakhstan and now lots of diamonds exchanging hands from chinese business partners. The list goes on and on.
The corruption from the unelected mafia kingpins of all these agencies are the ones who should also be on trial with very severe penalties if proven they were involved with covering up the blatant money laundering.
THEY are the ones who belong at GITMO.

  8. In so many ways the selection of Kamala as veep was brilliant.

Nobody, meaning nobody-left or right-want her as POTUS. It keeps Biden as safe as possible from the 25th.

  9. Biden family and their business associates had received more than $20million in payments from foreign sources in countries including China, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Russia and Romania.
the elder Mr. Biden was put on speaker phone with potential business associates – including foreign nationals – “maybe 20 times” over the span of 10 years. House Republicans have said the calls contradict Joe Biden’s claims that he had never discussed business deals with his son.
Joe Biden pressured Ukraine’s government to fire a top prominent prosecutor to halt an investigation into Ukrainian energy firm Burisma.
Testimony from two Internal Revenue Service (IRS) whistleblowers, House Republicans have also suggested that the justice department intentionally interfered in a multi-year investigation into Hunter Biden’s tax return.
‘Collusion’ on Burisma inquiries- communications between Joe Biden’s staff members and Hunter Biden’s team.

This is just the start, not to include what hes doing to the country, border, economy, crime, rights…..

    • Throw the book at ’em. And while your at it, why don’t we add Ivanka and Jared Kushner to the mix. If 20 million in payments from foreign governments to Hunter, a private citizen, and the Big Guy are so bad, what about the $2 billion the Jared Kushner got from Saudi Arabia while working in the White House? How about the 41 trademarks Ivanka got from China while working in the White House?

I say prosecute them all to the fullest extent of the law. Justice is blind and applies to all, whether they are republican or democrat, black or white, young or old.

  10. Is this inquiry going to happen for more than a day or two if a budget doesn’t get passed? Why wait so long to start? And will the inquiry even start if there’s a mad scramble to pass a Continuing Resolution?

  11. Each party should just pre-file impeachment proceedings on all future candidates of the opposing parties. This is the new normal political attack tool. This is a strategy similar to environmental groups suing to delegitimize every development permit ever issued.
