Anchorage Police Chief Justin Doll said there are no specific threats known in Anchorage relating to protests or demonstrations expected in upcoming days, but that his department is vigilant.
“Considering recent events and community concerns, I wanted you to know the Anchorage Police Department (APD) is taking proactive steps to monitor events and information sources involving hate-based threats that may lead to violence. It’s a coordinated effort with our federal and state law enforcement partners.
“Although there are no specific threats in Anchorage at this time, you may see an increased police presence in the areas of government buildings and planned events during the next several weeks. This is to ensure the normal operation of government and the safety of our community.
“We fully support every Alaskan’s ability to exercise their constitutional rights, and our community has a history of acting responsibly and safely when making their voices heard. However, we will not tolerate violence of any kind.
“As always, if you see or hear anything suspicious, please call us. If it’s a direct and imminent emergency, call 911. If not, call 311.
“I fervently hope that the coming weeks grace the country and our own community with a sense of calm, and that cooler heads prevail in reducing the spread of violent rhetoric. I have great faith in the ability of Alaskans to act responsibly, and fully believe that our community will exercise restraint and good judgement,” Doll wrote.

I’m not worried about the political theater of people in Alaska. APD on the other hand…..is shoot “em up bang, and traffic all the time. That is the theater they live in as police in Anchorage. That is APD. We have the FBI and they are pretty good to call in case of an emergency. They get in there and look for strange happening with cars and people. Fish and Game will take that bear call…in a few weeks. So, consider the location of Alaska, the idiocy of the Assembly….the only thing we have to fear is the next snow storm. No businesses to shop at, restaurants to enjoy or recreational activities. News? Well the announcers are at the stage of the pandemic of flailing their arms, talking extra fast, flailing their arms and hands on TV and checking out the clothes and hair styles of the “other” announcers and stations. Wow! So, the only thing we have to fear, is the next snow storm, avalanches where we no longer go for recreation and fear itself…..
They want your money plain and simple. They are money hungry and power drunk. If your money is secure and your livelihood is safe, then yes you may have nothing to worry about. It’s not really about taking your freedom although they would like to do that too, but taking away one’s freedom is just a means of taking away your money so it’s kind of interconnected. I think it’s taught on day one in fascist/socialist 101, how to steal people’s money and leave them helpless from you doing so and never having to work another day in your life is the description of the course.
