President Donald Trump wrote that House Speaker Mike Johnson has his “Complete & Total” support in his bid to retain his role as House Speaker. Shortly afterwards, Elon Musk, who heads up the incoming president’s Department of Government Efficiency, threw his support to Johnson as well.
“I feel the same way!” Musk wrote on X. “You have my full support.”
Johnson leads a narrow Republican majority and faces pushback from the Freedom Caucus, especially after the budget package that blundered its way through Congress at the end of December, averting a government shutdown, but with a lot of drama. Legacy media has worked to drive a wedge between Trump and Musk, but today’s pronouncements show that the alliance is strong.
Hmmm(???) … No public comment in support for Lisa?
Better straighten-up Lisa, learn to read the Tea Leaves!!
What does it matter what Lisa thinks?
She is in the Senate while Mike Johnson is in the House. Both have separate leadership if you didn’t know
The only elected [person to the presidency is Donald Trump. If he is incompetent and can’t manage the office, we have a vice president that can. What Elon Musk states in that office capacity means nothing.
Except he paid for the presidency, and he expects to have a huge say in the matter. He didn’t invest $230 million to sit on the side lines. He expects a return on his investment. Everything the right has claimed about George Soros is what Musk is doing. Don’t vote the way he likes he has promised to primary you.
“……..Everything the right has claimed about George Soros is what Musk is doing……..”
Let’s hope that includes putting prosecuting attorneys into office nationwide who will pack the prisons full and throw the keys into a deep well.
I notice you left Zuckerberg out of your comment. Somehow, spending over $400M to get pResident Briben elected is OK in your book? Or, am I missing something?
Rob,
Its pretty known which way she will lean.
I support Mike Johnson for House speaker:
He’s got the most hair. Best hair anywhere. You’ve never seen better. And we did this. We made this happen. Nobody else could’ve done this and they said we couldn’t but we did this and it’s great. He’s great. He’s going to make Congress great again.
Savage: check your down card In this little dust up.
Senator Murkowski doesn’t have a say in who the Speaker of the House will be.
If you’re going to be a full time Murkowski hater, try and do so in a relevant venue.
Paul Ryan 2.0 who of course Trump also endorsed.
Trump has no intention of draining the swamp…suckers.
For the moment, it is expedient to keep Johnson but he has failed us two for two so he is a short timer.
Club Swamp… The more things change… Funny how that works… ^^^
Hmm They must see something in him I don’t
Trump has made some questionable Uniparty picks lately and Mike Johnson is just the latest. Evidently Trump has not learned anything from his first rodeo! Backstabbers gonna backstab.
There are things that I agree with Trump on and there are things I do not. This is one of the things that I have to question his thought process on. Mike Johnson has not as he promised when elected as Speaker of the House moved the agenda forward and started turning the Washington process back to where it belongs. The Federal government needs to move forward and produce a budget to provide certainty to the American people on how we are going to curb and reign in the inflation and overspending currently advocated in Congress. He needs to produce 12 appropriations bills separate from any other legislation and they need to be only for what the department needs to focus on and get rid of all the trash in these departments. They need to stop spending more dollars overseas and more on the American people and less on foreign countries that most do not like the United States. I’m not for total isolation but some of these programs that have been funded need to go away because they are of no concern of the federal government. Time to contact our new Representative and have him ensure that whoever is the Speaker of the House has our backs and not devolved into a puppet of the Globalist Elites.
Torpedo Johnson. He went along with Schumer, McConnell and others with that insulting continuing resolution. Johnson KNEW that the American public was sick of that kind of sneaky underhanded deal. Yet, he played along until he got stomped. Kick him aside into the ditch, let the next speaker look at what happened to McCarthy and Johnson and learn. Stupidity should hurt. Let Johnson’s shellacking begin.
I am sure that at least one regular visitor to MRAK is in a serious quandary now…
On one hand, he adores the all powerful big government (of which Johnson is a card carrying member).
On the other, he abhors Trump any anyone even remotely associated with him.
.
Hate Johnson because of Trump
Adore Johnson because he is part of big government
wash, rinse, repeat.
Bannon is right to draw a line in the sand against Musk, Johnson, et al. MAGA will have a “civil war” in the very near future, as accommodating the swamp is not destroying it.
