  1. Eminent domain is the power of the government to take private property for public use, while “imminent” means likely to occur at any moment:
    Eminent domain
The government can use eminent domain to take private property for public use, such as roads and bridges. The Fifth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution limits the government’s use of eminent domain by requiring that:
The property must be used for the public good
The property owner must be compensated fairly
    Imminent
Means likely to occur at any moment, impending, or projecting or leaning forward
The government can take property through eminent domain in two ways:
Actual seizure: The government physically seizes the property
Regulatory taking: The government restricts the owner’s use of the property to the point of it being considered a taking
The government’s use of eminent domain has been criticized for its potential for abuse. For example, in the Kelo v. New London decision, the U.S. Supreme Court upheld the taking of homes in New London, Connecticut under the guise of “economic development”.
The government’s use of eminent domain can also lead to inverse condemnation, which is when the government’s modifications to a property damage nearby properties. For example, if the government builds an oil refinery on a property it took through eminent domain, the fumes from the refinery could lower the value of nearby homes.

  2. When the ‘sum or some’ of we – as the largest private landowners through the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act, do not exercise our rights, those rights will be given a valuation by the government.

These lands were fought for by our ancestors-now watched over by family caretakers and their friends.

    And here is the lesson.

You get what you did not exercise.

Welcome to your future. Status Fagerstrom-quo.

We had sovereignty, land, money, decision authority and our own people gave it back to a caretaker with no motivation to make our lives better – because status quo works for the empty suit. Buzzy Fagerstrom.

Provided to Buzzy by his daddy, Chuckie.

This empty suit and their friends and family.

    So f’ it.

It is a clear demonstration that my people will not feel anything because they never exercised their rights when they had it anyways.

Take it and keep our people down because that is where they live now.

    So happy to be low.

Wearing misery like a badge of honor.

  3. “Pothole Pete” left some mighty big slippers to fill…..Its going to be a mighty tough act to follow in the event of another chemical load bearing train derailment.

The worst part of that disaster is it happened in an area that didnt vote for sloppy Joe so FEMA did what it does best and ignore them.
