  1. No. Let them vote. Their votes to impeach will not make a difference anyway. Trump can use it on his campaign this fall to ignite his base.

  2. BOOKER and HARRIS too… They have suspended their campaign. Ok it’s to collect money… But legally they have a conflict too.

No vote but present for conflicted parties

  3. Even though it may help Trump if they did vote because he can claim in partiality, I don’t think they should be able to vote because it would be tainted. It would be like me voting against Hillary because she smashed up a bunch of phones, got people killed and stole money from the government. Since I have a problem with people who do that it would be unfair vote.

  4. Yes. In fact every Democrat should recuse themselve, because they refuse to represent Americans. I’m done with them and the America that they are peddling will destroy everything that the United States stands for.

    • Yes, but if Trump was convicted in the Senate……who would be running on the Republican ticket while Pence finished out Trump’s term?
      Answer:. TRUMP.

  5. None of the Dems are capable of impartiality, but those three, in particular, are incapable and should absolutely recuse themselves.

  6. “President Donald Trump claimed Friday that the impeachment trial against him is an attempt to rig the upcoming 2020 election against Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.). … During the impeachment trial, Sanders and three other senators who are seeking their party’s nomination will have to attend the trial in Washington for six days each week and won’t be able to use electronic devices. … Trump suggested Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) was attempting to aid the 2020 candidacy of former Vice President Joe Biden by timing the impeachment trial to keep Sanders, Sen. Elizbeth Warren (D-Mass.), Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.), and Sen. Michael Bennet (D-Colo.) from campaigning on the ground. … “They are rigging the election again against Bernie Sanders, just like last time, only even more obviously,” Trump wrote. “They are bringing him out of so important Iowa in order that, as a Senator, he sit through” the trial, giving Biden a “strong edge,” Trump added.”

Sounds plausible. Is Pelosi really that Machiavellian? Would it be reasonable to impute such an intellect to her?

    • I would love to see it play out that way if Trump actually gets impeached. Since no felony or other high crime is alleged in the impeachment articles, Trump couldn’t be barred from serving again.

  7. The Democrats have been after Trump ever since he won the election, first it was a futile attempt to reverse the electoral college followed by Russian meddling and a thousand other mostly baseless charges. However when Trump asked for a “favor” from the Ukraine leadership it got deadly serious. The top level Democrats from Clinton on down are corrupted as a fifteenth century pope and an expose of Biden and his coke snorting kid would bring them down faster then Epstein. Suddenly Nancy is advocating Impeachment even though she knows the risks. Yeah, I hope all the Democrats in the Senate vote to convict, hell Lisa too, might as well since Daddy’s little Princess is incapable of logical thought. Let the chips fall where they may. BTW A good book about the last impeachment “Sellout” written by a Lawyer named Schippers pretty plainly makes the case that Uncle Ted saved Clinton’s bacon. How did that work out for him?
