Newborn left for dead outside in Anchorage

21

As daylight came on Friday, police were called to the 200 block of Cordova Street following reports that a dead infant was discovered outside. The 200 block of Cordova is a dead end, with parking lots on each side of the street.

Police detectives are seeking information from the public about a “female individual who might have recently given birth,” or information that could be helpful, such as surveillance footage of the area. Those with helpful information who have not already been in touch with police can call APD Dispatch at 3-1-1 (option #0) or (907)786-8900 (press “0”).

  1. Send a swab of that child’s saliva to 23 & Me and you’ll know all of its genetic relatives next week or…

Leave it to APD and watch them analyze security photos of a hoodie.

  2. Get used to the new society. This is the norm for people. You can think the educational systems and the government they have a big hand in this problem.

  3. Maybe a little more information??? Headline says”left for dead” reports said “dead infant”. The question pretty much everyone would be asking here: is the baby alive????

    • M.John, true, but the police have not said if the child was at term or whether dead when abandoned. The autopsy will determine. Baby is not alive now, we don’t know if he or she was alive when left there. -sd

  4. Lord, have mercy! That poor baby.

I hope the mother finds the medical care she needs.

Does Anchorage have a safe surrender law?

  5. LibTards will say, “If only we had more abortion – Trump bad”.

As a society we need more spiritual faith.
    Demonic forces are at work.
Child sacrifice has always been a part of the dark side.

  6. That poor baby :’-( . That breaks my heart. Rest in peace baby and our Heavenly Father will wake you up when the time comes so that you can have another chance to experience life.

    • Yup.
      We’ve crossed the nexus.
The intention of the US Constitution and our forefathers – was that the right of the individual superceded the rights, needs, or wants of the majority / masses.
      No longer.
We are all disposable – life means little, respect for life is even lower.
      Sad.
      Pray.

  7. Please update with a reminder that there’s a safe haven law: you may leave your infant with emergency services without any questions asked. This was a life who could have been saved.

  8. Why are we supposed to have more compassion for the baby when it dies after birth, as opposed to before birth? We are told to celebrate a woman’s “right to choose” when she kills her baby before birth. But what difference does it make to her baby?

  9. And the next day all those in favor of infanticide stood on the corner of Northern Lights and New Seward waving signs saying make abortion safe and legal. Except it is never “safe” for the baby. This story is sad for the child and the mother.
