Kelly Tshibaka: Murkowski handed us Haaland, and the two have been a disaster for Alaska

By KELLY TSHIBAKA

There is perhaps no other state for which the identity of the Secretary of the Interior is as important as it is for Alaska.

Most people in the Lower 48 can live their whole lives never being aware of who occupies that office, but in Alaska, we are deeply affected by who holds it, and we especially are today.

Our Interior Secretary is the radical environmentalist Deb Haaland, and we have Sen. Lisa Murkowski to thank for that.

Murkowski cast the tiebreaking vote in committee to advance Haaland’s nomination to final approval. And after her confirmation, Haaland wasted no time in confirming our fears that she would be an environmental radical in the job. She is spearheading Biden’s 30×30 plan, to convert 30% of America into untouchable federal lands by 2030. Her main target: Alaska.

President Joe Biden has aimed 24 executive actions directly at us, with many of them coming from Haaland’s department. On top of cutting off oil and natural gas exploration in ANWR, Biden and Haaland have been busy attacking Alaska’s energy workers just in recent weeks.

Near the end of April, Biden dispatched Haaland to Alaska to be escorted around the state by Murkowski, who has been enabling the Biden radical agenda with her votes. But once Haaland returned to D.C., she blocked energy production in the National Petroleum Reserve-Alaska, killing more energy jobs and taking billions of barrels of our own oil completely off the table.

In mid-May, Haaland also decided to cancel a lease sale covering over a million acres in Cook Inlet, which could have led to decades of production, thousands of jobs, and billions of dollars of investment in Alaska.

Haaland later appeared before the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources, where it was revealed that she has effectively halted new oil drilling and exploration in Alaska. Even more incredibly, Haaland was unable to admit that gasoline prices are too high, despite new all-time records being set nearly every day.

If Biden truly wanted to reduce domestic energy costs, he would fire Haaland and reverse all these decisions. But he has not done that, and he won’t, because reduced domestic energy production, and the resulting increased costs of fossil fuels, are part of the plan hatched by the environmental extremists who are leading his administration.

And all of this can be laid at Lisa Murkowski’s feet.

Sure, there are some who say that Democrats would have found a way to confirm Haaland even without Murkowski’s vote, but that’s merely a weak justification for our senator’s failure to stand up for Alaska.

Instead of fighting for the best interests of Alaska, Murkowski gave Haaland her full support, even after admitting that Haaland would likely be harmful to our state.

And Murkowski didn’t stop there. She also championed the appointment of Haaland’s Deputy Secretary and was once again the tie-breaking vote to advance the confirmation of Haaland’s Solicitor, another radical Biden nominee. Our senator stacked the leadership of the Department of the Interior against us.

Murkowski calls herself a strong leader, but U.S. senators should never dodge accountability, as she has done, by claiming that her tie-breaking vote for Haaland didn’t actually matter. And Murkowski’s vote for Haaland was not simply a one-time mistake; rather, it was a colossal error in judgment that is hammering Alaska over and over again.

Everyone with a pulse saw this coming, but Murkowski feigns shock and dismay every time Haaland does exactly what we all knew she would do.

Of course, Murkowski has voted for more than 90% of Biden’s radical cabinet appointments, so none of this should surprise anyone in Alaska.

For progressives, there is a clear choice in the Senate race now that Democrat Pat Chesbro has announced her campaign. She would cast many of the same votes as Murkowski and then cheer the outcomes.

By contrast, Murkowski puts the leftist bureaucrats in place and then acts bewildered when they behave like leftist bureaucrats. It’s this tired, two-faced act that frustrates Alaskans because it reveals that no one can trust or rely on Lisa Murkowski.

We deserve a senator who will stand up for Alaska and fight for what’s important to us, and when I’m in the Senate, I can promise you there will be no doubt about where I stand. I’m For Alaska, not the radical D.C. insiders.

  1. Kelly is 100% correct.
Lisa and Mark Begich also handed us Obamacare.
Globalist Lisa needs to be retired.

  2. Kelly,
I wish you were part of our family. You could have taught the things we apparently failed to teach Lisa. Foresightful decision making skills.
Management skills. And passing the Bar Exam on the first try. You would have made us so proud.

    • Kelly, if I had known you in 2001, I would have appointed you to my US Senate seat. You would have personally saved me $$ tens of thousands by passing the Bar Exam on the first try. Lisa? Not so much!

  3. Didn’t Dan Sullivan vote to confirm Deb Haaland?

Why would you leave that out of this editorial?

    • Yes. The Colonel did vote for her.

But! She gave him her “word” to be fair.

Dan is next to be primaried.

  4. Thank you Kelly for clearly laying out the betrayal of Alaska by Lisa Murkowski. She has lied to Alaskans’ and continues to take in dark money to keep her seat. We have had it with lying politicians that no longer represent the people of this country. They represent themselves and globalism which is currently destroying our country. They will try and steal Murkowski’s seat to keep her in it. Have your lawyers ready Kelly because as they just did again in Georgia, they will use voter fraud to protect one of their globalist allies from the will of the people. America is in a war to protect their Constitution and the rights they were born with. They can’t stand the fact that our rights are ours at birth and are God given. Our rights are not defined or given by government! We are a free people at birth!

  5. Can Kelly say anything about who she is and what she has done that would give us a positive reason for supporting her

    • Start with her website, Ron – there is lots of information on who Kelly is, what she believes, and what she intends to do as Alaska’s next Senator – available in many places. Your response is ignorant and lame. Her main competitor is Lisa, who is suffering from a terminal case of swamp-itis and needs to retire – so her article here is very appropriate and true.

    • Kelly has clearly stated her America First stance and will allow Alaska to unleash its energy production potential and bring back the jobs Lisa has clearly supported killing through her support of the Green New Deal and Biden’s agenda to kill oil! Lisa has also helped confirm the leftists that make up Biden’s cabinet who are currently and purposely driving up inflation, destroying our distribution chain, destroying our food production and killing our retirements. If you support destroying America, vote for Lisa Murkowski, if you want to bring Alaska & America back to greatness, vote for Kelly Tshibaka. Alaska has never had a clearer contrast between candidates.

  6. Go Kelly! Another $100 is on its way. Your opponent’s hubris blinds her to the direct and the collateral damage her choices/votes continue to caused in the lives of Alaska’s next generations. Keep the doors of opportunity open!

    • I actually think Kelly is hotter than Lisa. I love hot, Conservative women. This Liberal crap, and especially RINOs, is really hard to live with.

      • Verne, we should have swapped years ago. I could have controlled Lisa. You on the other hand, would have actually had to find a real job to support Sarah.

  7. Kelly may occasionally speak in tongues, but the Pentecostal adherents are mainstream enough to take it out of the cult category. However, there should be a note of caution here regardless.
The Galileans were speaking in their own dialect, and many of the visiting foreigners were astounded, apparently hearing them in their respective languages. The traditional interpretation is that the Galileans were, in alignment with the Trinity doctrine, inspired by the spirit to be able to speak in the many foreign languages.
More likely than not, God sent angels to interpret the Galileans words. We are instructed that whenever someone speaks in tongues, that another is to interpret. By this the Galileans were not permitted to speak of the Good News, and then also interpret their own words into another language which they didn’t know. Angels. while remaining invisible, or even if appearing as ordinary people, would be the default interpreters.
I was around and about the Pentecostal church for 59 years. I had spoken in tongues many times during the first few years, until I quit regular attendance. during all that time I had no reason to doubt “tongues”.
around January of this year, while I was having a hotdog at Costco, a couple on a near by table handed me a salvation tract. I glanced at it and said “Been there, done that”.
Then we got into a discussion on the Tri8nity doctrine, as I explained that I quit attending church because I got into too many discussions over it. I stated that God is a duality, a Father and also a Son. The Trinity doctrine doesn’t allow for a duality because it is monotheistic. One God in three offices. I quoted Jesus, who stated that if you don’t have the Father, you don’t have the Son, and if you don’t have the Son, you don’t have the Father. That was exactly what I said, but what was heard, by the couple and also myself was slightly different.
Collectively, the three of us heard “If you don’t have the Father, YOU DON”T HAVE ME, AND IF YOU DON’T HAVE ME, you don’t have the Father.” The caps indicate a distinctively different voice, other than mine.
This voice spoke in the first person, as if Jesus Himself was speaking. My voice was muted while He spoke.
He didn’t speak through me, nor did any spirit cause me to speak those words.
It was a revelation to me, and apparently that event freed me of the last vestiges of control the Pentecostal churches had on me.
There’s a very thin line between faith and superstition. Kelly may want to become more careful how she hears. If she hears doctrines which are slightly off the mark, she may also hear the voices of the swamp in DC, which can be very persuasive, but generally are way off the mark.

    • In C.S. Lewis’s book Mere Christianity, the chapter entitled Good Infection speaks to that which you write of, and looks at it from a slightly different angle, that I believe, is worthy of your consideration. It is an excellent exposition on the matter.

The following is from the C.S. Lewis Institute’s webpage on the matter:

In C.S. Lewis’s book, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, you may recall the scene when Aslan, the Lion, roars and breathes on the statues in the White Witch’s castle and they suddenly are filled with life, energy, and joy. In the following passage from his book, Mere Christianity, Lewis describes how we, like the statues in Narnia, can be infected by the life of Christ by staying close to the warm, moist breath of our Triune God. Lewis writes,

And now, what does it all matter? It matters more than anything else in the world. The whole dance, or drama, or pattern of this three-Personal life is to be played out in each one of us: or (putting it the other way round) each one of us has got to enter that pattern, take his place in that dance. There is no other way to the happiness for which we were made. Good things as well as bad, you know, are caught by a kind of infection. If you want to get warm you must stand near the fire: if you want to be wet you must get into the water. If you want joy, power, peace, eternal life, you must get close to, or even into, the thing that has them. They are not a sort of prizes which God could, if He chose, just hand out to anyone. They are a great fountain of energy and beauty spurting up at the very centre of reality. If you are close to it, the spray will wet you: if you are not, you will remain dry. Once a man is united to God, how could he not live forever? Once a man is separated from God, what can he do but wither and die?

But how is he to be united to God? How is it possible for us to be taken into the three-Personal life?
You remember what I said in Chapter 1 about begetting and making. We are not begotten by God, we are only made by Him: in our natural state we are not sons of God, only (so to speak) statues. We have not got Zoe or spiritual life: only Bios or biological life which is presently going to run down and die. Now the whole offer which Christianity makes is this: that we can, if we let God have His way, come to share in the life of Christ. If we do, we shall then be sharing a life which was begotten, not made, which always has existed and always will exist. Christ is the Son of God. If we share in this kind of life we also shall be sons of God. We shall love the Father as He does and the Holy Ghost will arise in us. He came to this world and became a man in order to spread to other men the kind of life He has—by what I call ‘good infection’. Every Christian is to become a little Christ. The whole purpose of becoming a Christian is simply nothing else.

Joy, power, peace and eternal life – these are the things that human beings have been longing for since the beginning of time. There are many false paths to attaining them. However, in some ways the means to them is easy – draw close to the Triune God and surrender to His forgiving and life-changing grace that allows us to become little Christs.

“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.”
      JOHN 15:5-8 (NIV)

      • Nice quotes, but what say you?
Notice that what I wrote is in my own words, based on my own experiences, and not some chapter and verse stuff.
One can read a book on carpentry, but until they have some good hands on work experience, they’re not carpenters.
What can you bring up out of your own well of experience with our Creator? Let’s hear it!

        • It is not for me to dispute your experience and experiences in this life. I accept them, with an understanding developed over time that anything can happen, and often times the more outlandish it seems when first considered, the more likely it is to actually have happened. In fact, it is often difficult to conceive of what may or will actually happen prior to its occurrence. The future has a glorious element of inconceivability to it, at least for us mere humans.

As for me, the Lord has not spoken through me, at least in a manner that I was clearly able to discern, or, if he did, I have somehow forgotten it. I believe that it could happen, and that it may yet happen. It is not, in its entirety, up to me. It would certainly be a testament to the Lord’s grace if it were to happen, because up until a few short years ago, I was comfortably ensconced amongst the self absorbed sinners, blissfully blind to the overall harm my essentially willful blindness was doing to me, and by extension, to all of my brethren. I do not believe that my actions were amongst the worst transgressions, but they were transgressions, and its not for me to judge. Just seek forgiveness, and strive to do better going forward, serving the Lord and his children to the best of my God given ability.

          • You sound as if you’re thinking for yourself and deciding if and what you believe. We are freed from all doctrines and philosophies, as a result.

  8. At the very least Senator Lisa could have resisted the Biden onslaught and voted NO on confirmation for that half Norwegian Haaland. ?

    • Bobby, you must remember that Lisa isn’t into resisting the Swamp, because Lisa is a Swamp creature herself. Swamp creatures have a deep abiding social network and a code of ethics that supercede protecting the Constitution of the United States of America.

What this means is you have just one chance to begin ridding yourself of Parasitic Swamp Creatures and that is the election this fall.
This is a pivotal moment in our American Experience. Please Resist and vote for the candidate that isn’t named Lisa!
      Vote Kelly!

  9. Kelly-T “will be” a great replacement to what we’ve been saddled (and, inflicted) with for far too long.
