  1. What a sad commentary on what Anchorage has become. Can’t help but think about the people that live here now – what an unattractive population that have taken up residence in MY HOMETOWN!!! I am not happy about this situation and it is not the fault of law enforcement!

I suspect that my comment will not be posted which is also a sad statement as I am only speaking the truth as it appears to me.

    • I agree it’s not law enforcement’s fault that Anchorage is so crime-ridden. I blame the City Council and the law-abiding citizens for letting Anchorage deteriorate into a crime-ridden city. When I travel to the lower 48, people will often ask about visiting Alaska. And I always tell them about our beautiful state it’s freedom-loving people that live here. But, I warn them never ever stop in Anchorage. Pass through the city quickly, but don’t stay as the crime is so bad. The city doesn’t come close to representing Alaska.

  2. One day Alaskans will wake up and realize the death penalty is a moral and legal deterrent to the lawless who have no fear of murdering you for what ever they can take from your corpse !!! While you have the God-given right to protect yourself and the innocent around you from these scum the state at some point must pull up its panties and hold these scumbags fully accountable.

    • But seriously, Alaska as a whole, is deteriorating quickly. I am pretty sure a lot of it has to do with all the locust liberal socialists swarming up here from the West Coast to flip our state to Blue from Red. I see it everyday. People I’ve never seen before, hanging out in places that are obviously secluded for illegal activities. But people are either too scared to say or do anything. Because if you harm one hair on any head of a criminal, the democratic local justice warrior will unleash an unholy wrath upon you for doing so. Sad to see our state go down like this.

  3. I had noticed the import of liberals into Alaska in the late 70s after we built TAPS. (Lots of $ then)

I Called it the “californication” of Alaska.

Look at Anchorage today – it is run by these types – that’s why we have the problems we do.
