One of the oil companies working in Alaska has suspended its requirement that employees must be vaccinated for Covid-19.

Because Texas Gov. Greg Abbott issued an executive order that prevents companies or other entities from forcing vaccinations on their workforce, Eni suspended the directive that required workers in the Gulf of Mexico and Alaska’s North Slope to be fully vaccinated by Dec. 1, unless granted an exemption by the company.

In a memo to employees, the company said it ended its Sept. 13 shot mandate for its employees and contractors, but called the situation dynamic, and expects it will change again.

“Getting fully vaccinated is the best thing that we can do to protect ourselves, as well as our families and co-workers. I would like to thank all employees who have responded to the National appeal for vaccination, and your personal support in helping to keep our workplace safe,” wrote Luca Pellicciotta, president and chief executive officer.

“Meanwhile, we are continuing with our current workplace COVID-19 protocols at this time. Thank you for your continued cooperation as we navigate this ever-changing landscape, while doing all that we can to maintain a safe workplace for each of us, Pellicciotta wrote.

Eni is the sole owner and operator of the Nikaitchuq and Oooguruk fields on the North Slope, producing more than 30,000 barrels of oil per day from three drill sites it operates. Eni has over 700 direct and contract employees in Alaska. The company bought Oooguruk assets in January 2019 from Caelus Energy, which exited the state in frustration with

Hilcorp Alaska, which took over BP Alaska operations, has made a decision to not mandate vaccines for employees. As of Oct. 15, the company is encouraging vaccinations and monitoring “for various federal agencies in case government mandates are issued. If we are subject to any federal mandates, we will communicate those requirements to our employees and contractors.”

Hilcorp Alaska sees two of President Biden’s executive orders as impacting it: The company has government contracts, and it also has more than 100 employees.

“OSHA recently proposed an Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS) to the Office of Budget & Management. We expect to see the ETS issued within the next month,” Hilcorp wrote to employees.

Hilcorp has about 400 employees in Alaska, 88 percent of which are Alaska residents.

Hilcorp employees who are unvaccinated or vaccinated must be tested for Covid within 24 hours of flying to the North Slope or Cook Inlet platform. Hilcorp is also paying for the testing for both unvaccinated and vaccinated contractors, and will cover the cost of isolation for any vaccinated employee or vaccinated contractor who tests positive in Anchorage but does not live in the Anchorage area.

  1. If people don’t have control of their own health at this point, no cloth or synthetic liquid us going to save them.

We have made our choice. Self reliant, or government codependent.

You get what you pay for. It is always a win to fully invest in yourself.

  2. Issuance of any OSHA BS will give the State AG what they need to show Biden has overeached his authority. Going to be fun to watch Biden squirm like a rat dying from poison. He is trying to be a Dictator and will soon find out what the citizens do to dictators.

  3. “…but called the situation dynamic, and expects it will change again.”
Translation: “We have licked or finger and stuck it in the air to see how the wind is blowing, and it is blowing anti-mandate… but… we will lick it again in a while and see if we need to reinstitute it.”

I hope employees for Eni and scores of other corporations continue to stand their ground and continue to say NO to the jab!

  4. There is no EO for employers with more than 100 employees, there are two executive orders dealing with covid vaccinations. Here are the executive orders and some information about them:
    .
EO 14042 Ensuring Adequate COVID Safety Protocols for Federal Contractors was signed on Sept 9th, I didn’t see anything about mandating a vaccine in it but it does say contractors shall “comply with all guidance for contractor or subcontractor workplace locations published by the Safer Federal Workforce Task Force”. The Safer Federal Workforce Task Force on Sept 24 issued that guidance as part of that required federal contractors comply with the following:
    1. COVID-19 vaccination of covered contractor employees, except in limited circumstances where an employee is legally entitled to an accommodation;
    2. Compliance by individuals, including covered contractor employees and visitors, with the Guidance related to masking and physical distancing while in covered contractor workplaces; and
    3. Designation by covered contractors of a person or persons to coordinate COVID-19 workplace safety efforts at covered contractor workplaces.
    .
EO 14043 Requiring Coronavirus Disease 2019 Vaccination for Federal Employees signed on Sept 9th, it deals with vaccinations for federal employees, as the title suggests.

    • Steve, if you want to deny reality, yet again, you might want to talk to President Biden about his plans and orders to force ALL employers with over 100 employees to mandate that their employees receive the (non)’vaccine’ or be terminated. We are not all dreaming this up, despite all your assertions here to the contrary.

      • Jeff,
Please feel free to share the executive order number and date it was signed that deals with vaccinating employees who work for companies with over 100 employees. Maybe in your altered state of reality there is one, but in this reality there is not. Executive Orders are listed in the Federal Register go take a look some time, and please do inform me as to which EO it is and when it was signed, I look forward to it.

  5. CCI Industrial/Kakivik sent an email to employees on 10/15 stating,

“….Effective December 8, 2021, we will only allow fully vaccinated employees to perform work on the North Slope, subject to reasonable accommodations as required by law…..”

Apparently, they don’t want to follow Hilcorp’s lead.

  6. Employees of We The People ARE being held PERSONALLY liable for Crimes Against Humanity! This would be avoided if they would get their bought and paid for fannies to reading from ALL THE CENSORED experts, and VICTIMS of the hotshot. From the least clinic worker to the AG we will not stop because of censorship and propaganda. Wake up world it’s about to get EVEN uglier. Not enough CA and Australia have fallen? Yikes CCP cold weather dark training on our borders for YEARS. See blocked and banned videos, experts, scientist, blocked footage and testimonies.

  7. Why are other industries feeling pressured the Biden Administration to mandate vaccinations?

Clearly, Facebook and Google are not cowering to that “peer pressure” that other American industries are.

I chose to get the COVID shot, because that is my choice.

The American. which has the highest gross domestic product
(gdp) on the globe, holds that success because we care for people.

The American business community never made the COVID vaccine a governmental divided issue to individuals people.

The crappy leadership on all sides of this archaic political party-based facade are responsible for that.

What is the moral of this global ppl pandemic?

The moral is political parties care about political parties.

American people are innocent victims and pawns to the elite few that are leg wrestling for control and power based on their egos in a “government system” that is broken.

American people are united in the foundation of our country based on the Bill of Rights..

The Bill of Rights is the level field of dreams – regardless of race. Gender, sexual orientation, etc.

Obviously, constitutional law is no longer the foundation for the justice system.

The constitutional protection for freedom of speech – became loosely altered to journalism. Now the “media” is just a weapon and manipulative tool against American citizens.

There is no quick fix to the sad state of affairs America has sucken itself to.

It is more proof to focus on your family, the things throughout each day that tangibly have a cause and effect in your life.

For me, that motivated me to leave all political parties.

That is where I feel at this point in our collective history that best represents my individual freedoms.

See, I don’t have to pay. Beg, borrow or steal to be a part of a political fundraising club.

These clubs, they need to be working to get my business, my support, my hard earned money to invest.

Right now. My short answer is no.

  8. Congratulations on their choice not to follow the vax mandate lemmings over the woke cliff and avoid destroying their companies. Every day, more and more evidence is clearly indicating the mandated vax policy is a terrible policy.
A retired nurse from California recently asked the stunningly obvious question: “Why do the protected need to be protected from the unprotected by forcing the unprotected to use the protection that did not protect the protected in the first place?”

We should also be demanding to know the answer to this question: why is our government cramming mandatory vaxes down our collective throats? The scientific evidence does NOT support this policy.

  9. The Taliban: Cracking down on drugs
China: Cracking down on pornography, they want morality
United States: Cracking down and destroying the lives of the American people who resist getting the Covid Clot Shot….

P.S. Today, Ron DeSantis Invites Shipping Companies To Florida Ports As Vessels Idle In California Backlogs…..love DeSantis!!!!!!!! hahahahah

  10. Hilcorp has 1400 employees in Alaska.
Everyone tests BEFORE getting on the plane unless you have a vaccine pass.
Hilcorp never proposed a mandate without supporting a religious or health based waiver option.
