President-elect Donald Trump has picked business leaders Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy to lead what he calls the Department of Government Efficiency.
Musk, who owns the social media site X.com, and Ramaswamy have been two highly influential people associated with Trump’s third run for office. They will assist Trump in cutting bureaucracy, slashing unneeded regulation, and eliminating government waste.
“This will send shockwaves through the system, and anyone involved in Government waste, which is a lot of people,” Musk said.
“All actions of the Department of Government Efficiency will be posted online for maximum transparency. Anytime the public thinks we are cutting something important or not cutting something wasteful, just let us know! We will also have a leaderboard for most insanely dumb spending of your tax dollars. This will be both extremely tragic and extremely entertaining,” Musk wrote on X.
“It will become, potentially, ‘The Manhattan Project’ of our time. Republican politicians have dreamed about the objectives of ‘DOGE’ for a very long tie. To drive this kind of drastic change, the Department of Government Efficiency will provide advice and guidance from outside of Government and will partner with the White House and Office of Management & Budget to drive large scale structural reform, and create and entrepreneurial approach to Government never seen before,” Trump said.
“I look forward to Elon and Vivek making changes to the Federal Bureaucracy with an eye on efficiency and, at the same time, making life better for all Americans. Importantly, we will drive out the massive waste and fraud which exists throughout our annual $6.5 Trillion Dollars of Government Spending. They will work together to liberate our Economy, and make the U.S. Government accountable to ‘WE THE PEOPLE.’ Their work will conclude no later than July 4, 2026 – A smaller Government, with more efficiency and less bureaucracy, will be the perfect gift to America on the 250th Anniversary of The Declaration of Independence. I am confident they will succeed!” Trump said.
I have been a fan favorite of Vivek Ramaswamy as a smart intelligent individual. Fast on his feet, and has a mountain of facts at his fingertips. Just an overall appearing brillient soul. However, today I had occasion to view
a video of content that presents a view that is not normally viewed in the press or in interviews. Not that he is any bad person, but a deep dive of his workings is worth a watch and opinion. Cheers.

Interesting. It is from January and some of the internet stuff was dated. Still, worthy of watching. I wonder if President Trump has watched the clip 😆
Goldarn sassy Canadian diggers…
Thank you for adding that link. I, too, have been so impressed with Mr. Ramaswamy’s intelligence but this information is a little distressing. I guess there is no perfect human being out there but darn, I was sad to see his involvement with big Pharma.
I bet there are many that are/were involved with big pharma. It will be interesting to see what direction this all goes.
Well this will be fun to watch. Once engaged, these posers will begin to realize how complicated and essential government really is. First, they will be intimidated by their ignorance, and then they will become increasingly bored and lose interest. Let’s just hope that this happens before they can do any real damage. And another upside – Trump needs to have the spotlight to himself, and anyone who challenges this primacy – and both these guys will – will soon find them on the outside looking in.
Hahahaha! LMFAO!
“First, they will be intimidated by their ignorance” …..said the wise man. LOL
If you cant think of anything better keep up the humor like beetle bailey did for us.
You have a mistake in your second sentence. You wrote:
“will begin to realize how complicated and essential government really is.”
What I think you meant was:
“will begin to realize how complicated government really is.”
No need to thank me. I am glad to help.
Spoke as a true liberal lap dog. How did our country grow without big government? 10th ammendment gives the states power, not the feds. 1/4 of either of these guys intelligence is 100% more than yours.
Send the fed money back then.
Tell them to adhere to statehood agreements. Turn over the land they are supposed to. Stop meddling in alaskas economics involving oil and mining. Use the navy and coast guard to protect alaskas fishing industry.
Actually, Whidbey, these two individuals shall show how simple and nonessential Government really is, within the scope of the individual, rather than the grouping of the hive mind.
Each of these individuals possess a mind far surpassing almost any other within this planet, within support of the individual, rather than the hive mindset, of which you so support, and of which shall fail, based upon said hive mind.
And no, for you, it shall NOT be fun to watch, as it shall be the collapsing of your individual wall, within the belief that Government is the end all, be all, within our existence, when it actually is nothing of the kind.
Within our existence, Whidbey, it is the individual that not only holds the power of existence, but it is also the individual that controls said existence, through the freedom given unto said individual by our existence by birth, within a free land.
You may wish a government of control unto and over the individual, but within this Nation, that is not a reality now, or forever more.
This is a strawman argument, that ‘government’ is unnecessary, suggesting that the individual should be running about wildly like tigers in a over-populated jungle. Hardly. The result of this past presidential election does not confirm government based on an informed and intelligent electorate works. It’s more than an American Tragedy right now.
A strawman argument, really?
OK, Mrs. N…..
Show me a SINGLE incidence whereas your supposed Government has outperformed the private sector within ANY sector for ANY purpose at a lessor expense.
Also, ‘informed and intelligent electorate’…. really?
You presume that those that believe other than yourself are somehow less informed and less intelligent than yourself.
But what if that is not, within reality, so?
What if you, Mrs. N, are WILLFULLY ignorant, and follow a path, intellectually fallowed, unto said path that you back yourself into such a corner that cannot be escaped?
That is where you have left yourself, Mrs. N.
A corner with no way out.
What is the over-populated jungle?
Too many tigers?
Or too many prey?
The bottom line has always been thus, within this Nation, Mrs. N.
The individual chooses its Overseers, without fail.
The Overseers answer unto the individual, without fail.
Thus, there is no tyranny, and never shall be.
Best of luck to both of them on this task.
The Obama/Harris/Biden administration tried to bring us the Department of Disinformation that would have silenced opposing views, the Trump administration brings us the Department of Government Efficiency. I’d like to think that this department has a sunset clause built in, but in reality it will be needed until the Federal Government is downsized to the point it was originally supposed to be. As long as they save more money than they spend it will be a worthwhile department.
Musk bought twitter, changed it to X so he could spread the disinformation. Musk will make sure that all the corporate subsidies that he relies on from the Federal Government stay in place. He is the perfect Trump companion as he loves to sue everyone who challenges him. He will make sure his revenue stream is protected. How much will Trump pay them to destroy the government?
X.com was the name of the website that made Musk a millionaire. Granted, he changed the name to PayPal soon after launching it, and that made him a billionaire.
.
As to disinformation, like what?
And, who is to decide what is information, versus dis/misinformation? Where are these angels who are so knowledgeable and wise? Can you point to them?
.
I am extremely disturbed by people whose screen name includes the word Freedom talking about disinformation. Do not like the “disinformation” counter it with facts.
What a hilarious timeline we are on.
Never did I think I would see the day the leftists like Alaskans for freedom become the next generation of conspiracy theorists.
Turns out all the previous generation of conspiracy theorists were right after all and have lost the title.
Now Dems can be the party of losers and we can await the next pendulum swing of paradigms to happen over the next 4 years.
Alaskans for Freedom are the ones backing up the Obamas Clintons Obidens Harris Pelosi railing about the Democrats “Democracy” they are desperately trying to preserve through lies being spread through all the fake news outlets continually tending their flock with whatever they repeat the most.
Yeah, the brainwashing is deep for sure.
Fascinating experiment of consciousness.
I wonder if the left will ever wake up or continue to live in fantasy land until the very end.
We shall see.
Trump promised and Vivek Ramaswamy followed up with an interview discussing to end the Department of Education, stopping the wasteful spending and putting control of children’s education back to the states.
Vivek also mentions ending 80% of the Constitutionally illegal departments, citing that the current Supreme Court majority has found rule by administrative regulations is unlawful.
The question of the power of federal employee unions can be dealt with. For example, just requiring employees to show up to work and 40 hour weeks will result in 25% quitting.
He also favors a generous severance pay package, as the overall downsizing of federal bureaucracy will save billions in wasted tax dollars and trillions of wasteful regulation compliance.
The severance pay will allow these employees time to seek useful employment elsewhere.
There is hope for a future for our grandchildren!
Al, recalling Russiagate, this new age of deep-state sponsored fakery, doesn’t it seem reaonable to ask Vivek directly?
They will be fine. Currently everything is completely out of control. Rediculous redundancy all over the board. If it were up to me I’d fire everyone and start over again. Of course if it were up to me the federal government would have only 1 job. Our military and protecting us. Everything else would be managed by the individual states.
So we are going to create more bureaucracy in order to get rid of bureaucracy. 😂
Lol. Yes. I had read that musk is already making people crazy over there. Everybody’s scrambling around, and no one is taking office for over two months from now.
Yes 1 department to eliminate 500. It’s a good trade
and its not a government funded department so really…. 0 departments to eliminate 500
This will not “make life better for all Americans” as Trump says. Homeless camps will swell with unemployed former federal government workers. So be it.
The Deep State don’t count as American citizens, they are called Foreign Occupants.
Exile it shall be!
I wish, hope, and pray, for the best. The bureaucracy has seen this game before – and they know how to play it. “Never argue with stupid people – they will bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.” – Mark Twain
For every expenditure there is a constituency demanding it continue…
Good luck, Elon and Vivek
Ministry of Government Efficiency sounds straight out of 1984.
How many billions of dollars in government contracts do Elon Musk’s companies collect?
Electric vehicle mandates will be good for Tesla’s bottom line.
Only this one spelled DOGE and is hilarious.
It also ends July 2026 to cut down on government waste. Did you read the article at all?
Oh, but it will be so successful for the trumphian cabal that there will be extensions if not direct, then in other ways for these cronies to suck on the government. But, as Jared may surmise, there is no end to this circus.
The election of President Biden was supposed to be the rate-limiting-step for the corruption by the likes of Paul Manafort, Roger Stone, Michael Cohen, Peter Navarrow, Steve Bannon, Kenneth Cheseboro, Sidney Powell, Scott Hall, George North, Allen Weisellberg, Rick Gates, Michael Flynn, Tom Barrak, Elliot Broidy, George Papadopoulos, scandals of Tom Price and private jets, Alex Acosta and sex-trafficking with Jeff Epstein, Rick Perry, Rob Porter, George North, Elaine Chao and use of her office for her Dad’s shipping business –but use of the government offices is par for the course for the trumph clan, Scott Pruitt and his daughter’s condo, Bill Barr, Dr Ben Carson and the new drapes, Zach Fuentes and substandard face masks provided to the Navajo Nation for 3 million dollars, etc and so on and so on. This time there’s no holds barred with recess appointments and no requirement for Senate/Congressional approval in many of these offices. He could be running a shadow off-site office for Putinsky. How will you ever know?
And so on and so on and so on…..
You have only scratched the surface… there are many many more names than that if MRAK doesnt have limits on the length of a comment.
Actually he doesn’t have very many government contracts at all. Do your homework..
I think nearly everyone can think of a time when massive ill intended politically motivated or malicious agency weaponization has been pointed to someone or entire families with disastrous consequences. This is an opportunity to realign agencies to core missions and drop the rest. Highest priority of nation.
At least the president is interested in maintaining democracy and the peaceful transition of power. He invited Trump to the Whitehouse and says he will attend the inauguration. That’s 2 things Trump didn’t do when he lost, so we are already on the right step.
Well of course he will comply.
We wouldnt want to have to look for the 81 million that supposedly voted for him who went from the most popular vote winner in history to getting the boot by his own party leaders before he embarrassed the party by getting the least amount of votes in history had he stayed in the race due to an incomprehensible debate.
Your President went from the best to the worst in record time which will cement his credibility in the history books unless you choose CNN or the VIEWS analysis.
Trump complied as well.
He left office on January 20th 2021, and Biden moved in. Peaceful as all get out.
.
I have no idea where these people get the notion that there was no peaceful transfer of power.
I didn’t have a horse in this race. Just pointing out he was more of a man than Trump.
No matter how one can distort meaningfulness and truth, President Biden will have been one of the most consequential presidents in your lifetime; with a record of accomplishment, resolution of the previous chaos, effective government expenditures, and chivalry. Give it another decade and ‘mark my words’ young man, Mr Dufrain, your tune will change.
Last time I checked the inauguration of the 46th President of the United States went quite peacefully. When the exiting President left the White House, there was no issues, no messes, no damaged equipment. The incoming President moved right into the Oval Office and got to work.
Peaceful as it comes.
Then there’s was that J6 thing.
What did J6 have to do with transferring power?
Please explain that to a poor simple minded soul such as myself?
You said everything went smoothly, and I countered with J6. The last time I looked people fighting with the capitol police and putting their feet up on pelosi’s desk wasn’t exactly an offer of peace.
Explain to us all what, exactly Jan 6th had to do with a peaceful transfer of power? How exactly is the White House, or any member of the Executive Branch of the Federal Government involved in certifying the Electoral College results?
.
Take your time, I can wait.
.
Here’s a hint or two.
The White House and the Executive Branch, the branch referred to when talking about a transfer of power, have nothing, absolutely NOTHING to do with the certification of the Electoral College votes. What happened on January 6th is has no bearing whatsoever on transferring the power of the Presidency.
.
So… explain to us all why you think J6 is relevant in any way.
I just did. He sent the masses to do his bidding because he doesn’t have the stones.
You explained nothing.
.
The sitting President has no involvement in the Certification of the Electoral College votes.
.
And…How did Trump “send the masses?”
Before you answer, please listen to AND read the transcript of Trump’s January 6th speech.
.
Unless you have some evidence that Trump actually planned it. I am sure he was working closely with Nancy Pelosi to ensure the security was inadequate that day. Show us all the evidence you have please.
I Tyre of arguing with an idiot.
Yet, here you are, coming back and commenting on pretty much everything I post.
.
It is funny, I looked into it, and I have EXACTLY the same amount of evidence that Pelosi and the FBI planned the riot on J6th.
I would suspect he is going to kiss ass or him and his famous son are going to wind up in the crowbar hotel. He is not doing this out of the goodness of his heart. He has no heart. Greg you are a complete flake. This is all politics 101. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.
I may be a flake in your eyes, and that would be a good thing. The issue with musk is many of the votes were tabulated using his starlink system. Now you might ask, why is that important? Let me tell you. The latest theory is, he has a Hidden Agenda.
In that system that can manipulate votes and before your mind blows up, let me remote, remind you there, the israelis, we’re smart enough to make everybody’s pagers blow up that they wanted to in lebanon. If you can turn somebody’s phone into a bomb and blow their pants off, you can make a computer system hidden in a satellite make a x mark in a small box.
Hey you missed one of the latest “theories”
As soon as I dream one up I will definitely circle back….LOL
You do that…. without me, your lives would be dull and boring on here. Admit it.
But, you insist that there was no evidence of voter fraud in 2020 and 2022.
Got any evidence of what you speculate? If you can point to some anomaly that needs investigation, I will be very happy to support an audit and investigation.
.
Not liking the outcome is insufficient.
I don’t know if there was or there wasn’t
I voted for Trump in that election.
4 years later and AI more prominent, they can blow people’s pants off by making their phone into a bomb. I’m sure they can check a box.
So, you have speculation.
Got it. Obviously, there was fraud. No doubt about it. You convinced me.
.
Tell you what. If you want to toss out conspiracy theories, I am good with that, but at the bare minimum, can you please point to a single odd thing that happened in the election. One thing.
Are you still coming down to fight me or not?
Anyone here ever file paperwork with the government?
How long did the process take?
.
I just checked a few things, and the amount of time it takes to get something through the system is ridiculous. The worst I saw in my short search is applying for US Citizenship. Current wait time for an approval is 18 months. Seriously??? What, exactly are they doing that takes that long? I can fill out a 4473 and get approval to purchase a gun in less than 10 minutes, but it take a year and a half to get approval for US Citizenship?
.
There is a LOT of wasted time and effort in Government work. If the actual work is prioritized, and the wasted “reporting” effort minimized, odds are, we will need a significant smaller workforce. But, current regulations and laws almost force inefficiency onto the system. (Again, look at the firearm laws. How long to get approval for a silencer? Way too long.)
.
There are ways to increase efficiency and reduce cost without massive layoffs, and someone like Musk and/or Ramaswamy are the kinds of guys to pull it off.
.
Then again, they have no idea what a brick wall they are going to slam into on day one…
I can’t wait for these Axe Men to start carving up these useless agencies like a Thanksgiving turkey.
The Office of Government Efficiency is off to a great start with logical leadership: two people to do the work of one person. That’s the type of efficiency this country badly needs.
Ya Sebastian 2 guys to eliminate thousands. Makes perfect sense to me.
Wow.. two people.
Like… The Presidency. One President, one Vice President.
.
And… what, exactly is the job of the VP? To wait for the President to die. Nothing else. Oh… yes, they may get a task here and there, but in reality… they are there just in case the President kicks off.
.
Now, having two people take on the task of cleaning out the unnecessary and inefficient parts of the massive machine we call the US Government. Personally, I do not think that is enough people.
Yes, and Apartheid Clyde has a day job already.
The Vice President is the last fiduciary of we the people insuring all due diligence to the law, the US Constitution was applied in all state electoral bundles and all administrative details were counted for this financial corporation. You know like Reuters does at the elections. The Vice President will mote Alaska’s constant exception, Alaska Secretary of State to stand guard the public activities were illegal on the clock and with the power to call the legislature into session to here protests urgently of instances of usurpations in pursuant later courage creation activities. Alaska never in compliance with this not optional structural organizational requirements – perpetually not in compliance.
Hey, Sebastian, Did you know Elizabeth Warren stole your joke?
Next step in this process is a world war and we can use the liberals for sand bags
I thought you were going to be out in front leading the charge. What’s the matter?
AI Overview
Highlight
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has faced several scandals, including:
Veterans Health Administration controversy
In 2014, an internal audit found that schedulers were pressuring veterans to wait for care or to use unofficial lists to make wait times look better. The FBI opened a criminal investigation, and the White House found “significant and chronic system failures”.
Financial mismanagement
The VA was accused of wasting over $223 million on transportation services and delaying payments for veterans’ medical bills. A VA investigation found that the VA failed to reimburse some community healthcare providers, which led to veterans losing care.
Improperly awarded incentives
In 2023, the VA announced that it had mistakenly awarded millions of dollars in incentives to senior executives. The VA canceled the payments and requested an investigation by the Office of Inspector General (OIG).
Fraud
Veterans reported $292 million in losses to fraud in 2022. Some recent examples of fraud include:
A Montana company admitted to filing false claims for payment to the VA for abatement of lead paint in housing for veterans.
A Montana real estate agent pleaded guilty to failing to provide lead-based paint disclosures to veterans.
A California company was charged with conspiring to sell misbranded N95 masks to a hospital during the pandemic.
It is like engineering: every difference makes difference. How many of the 50 states refuse to have a secretary of state to do these watch duties? “What difference does it make, now?” fifty years after statehood. Should such blunt Constitution mandate snubbers be near the front of the line in receipts for state’s federal aid receipts? Think of the immense saving if some fiduciary with an oath said no.
