John Hendrix of Anchorage, Rob Yundt and Jesse Sumner from Mat-Su, and Dick Randolph from Fairbanks were among the 65 guests at the Trump National Golf Club Bedminster this week for a fundraiser for the Keep Dunleavy effort to stave off an attempted recall.
Also attending from Alaska was Walter Campbell from the Mat-Su, Brandon Spoerhase, a realtor from Anchorage, and several other Alaskans. The event, according to those who were there, was a smashing success.
Dunleavy also had a private meeting with Trump, during which they discussed the Alaska political landscape.
Yundt and Sumner, both businessmen in the Valley, are Assemblymen with the Mat-Su Borough. Sumner is also on the board of the Alaska Policy Forum. Hendrix, who operates Furie Operating Alaska, was spotted playing golf and meeting with Trump on the golf course.
Yundt said, “He visited with us for about 15 minutes. I was surprised at how much he knew about energy related opportunities in Alaska.”
The group raised multiple six figures for the Keep Dunleavy effort, according to sources.
