The Biden Administration’s head of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention warned of “impending doom” from a resurgence of Covid-19 and appealed to governors and mayors to reinstate mask mandates. CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky, welled up with tears as she ask America to “hold on a little while longer” and continue wearing masks.
“I am asking you to just hold on a little longer, to get vaccinated when you can, so that all of those people that we all love will still be here when this pandemic ends,” Walensky said. The nation has “reason for hope. But right now, I’m scared.”
“Please, this is not politics — reinstate the mandate,” President Joe Biden said. “The failure to take this virus seriously is precisely what got us into this mess in the first place.”
Gov. Mike Dunleavy, on Twitter, said no, he would not be implementing a statewide mask mandate.
“No thanks, @POTUS – you can keep your mask mandate. We’ll keep doing it the #Alaska way: trust the people & let them live their lives,” Dunleavy wrote.
To date, 31 percent of Alaskans have received at least one dose of a vaccine against Covid. Over 21 percent of Alaskans are fully immunized. Anchorage has a mask mandate that has been in place for almost a year but the state has never had a one-size-fits-all mandate.

Unfortunately, Anchorage is not so much a part of Alaska as surrounded by Alaska. We’ll probably stay locked down for as long as POTUS, wants.
That’s why we need to get out and vote these liberal clowns off the assembly and elect a mayor that cares about Anchorage business’ as well its citizens. It’s time to put an end to the needless mandates by the Anchorage Ass-embly.
The mandate should be a giant mask that covers the southern border. Focus on the real problem, O’Biden.
People of Anchorage need to stop being sheeple and start defying the mandates that do not make any sense. I finally see more and folks in ANC walking in the stores without masks. I wish more folks do that. It’s time to put an end to this unelected mayor’s and left wing assembly’s tyranny!

Very disheartening to see the head of the CDC trying to lead by spreading fear. If she is afraid she may be in the wrong job. Use your skill and knowledge and exercise the authority that you have. Above all, give reasons for your actions. Explain why some things are good and others bad. If you demonstrate good results your credibility will grow. Just spreading fear isn’t going to cut it.
I agree that this health issue is improving and we can have a trail to generosity constructed some other way. A functioning economy and social distancing is a reasonable approach.

So many are moving to the Valley to get away from the tyranny. All that will be left of Anchorage when the Assembly is done will be the street people and crooked politicians. And how can we trust this next election with mail in ballots? People who don’t even live in Anchorage any more are getting ballots. It will be easy for “officials” to change the votes to Forrest Dunbar. That’s how we got stuck with Berkowitz for two terms!

Since Gov. Dunleavy told Joe Biden to go pound sand regarding mask, open state office courts to the public.
We can shop the box stores so why are state offices still closed or limited access. This is not how Alaska conducts business.
Maybe box stores are immune to Covid-19 and state offices are not.

The mask and covid 1984 vaccine IS NOT as dangerous as the politically driving control that is behind both. All you have to do is keep looking at how they change the rules(suggestions) and for how long you need to be patient(or a participant) to the scam they have unleashed. I have not worn one mask or taken one vaccine and the only thing that has changed is what they want me and the world to bow and bend over to.
I think you know where senile Biden and any branch of Government can put their masks and vaccine mandates. It will not be in me.

And remember mRNA shots are not vaccines, they are experimental gene therapy that never made it past animal trials but are now only approved for experimental emergency use. Don’t become a guinea pig for big pharma’s clinical human trial. You have no idea what this could do to you in the long term and neither does the so called science behind it. In ten years you could have cancer and be dead just like the animals in the trials. So why risk it for a virus that you have a 98.9% chance of surviving? Don’t let them scare you into loosing your God given rights to freedom of choice and travel if you refuse. Stay strong and just say no! Remember, “my body my choice” no one should ever force you to inject yourself with an experimental drug. Always remember decisions based on fear can create horrible outcomes in the long term.
I hope Dunleavy follows DeSantis’ lead and also says “No!” to “vaccine passports”.
