BOHICA
Another wasted opportunity for people in this town to try to start to begin to attempt to fix this mess. Taxes go up everything else goes down.
Stupid people voting, nuff said.
They are not stupid.
They are members of, or connected to, the 13 Unions that run this town.
THAT’S who turns out to vote (in our lame elections)
And it’s smart.
Why don’t the smart people vote?
I’m a smart conservative and so are my family & friends. I encouraged and even sometimes nagged them to vote. They ALL voted conservative and I even picked up and delivered their ballots for them!
I DON’T get it and I know I am always doing my part to tell everyone i know. I won’t give up but definitely feel frustrated and sickened by what’s happening.
Thank God for Keith McCormick!
The DUMBING DOWN of the population by dark money!
RCV, Mail-In Ballots, UnEducation, Unions & Democrats that are far from what they stood for.
Career politicians with twisted and lying agendas.
Not nuff people voting, stupid people said.
No Trevor, not enough people voting. A turn-out of a smidgen over 16% gives special interest and unions the edge every time. This is by design with mail-in-ballots. Suppress the general population vote and your guy/gal wins every time. A representative republic doesn’t work if less than a quarter of the people show up to participate. It becomes the dictate of the minority.
What is going on here? Why in the world don’t the people come out and let their voices be heard against this non-sense?
Not enough people care. Sad. Hate vote by mail. Moving out of anchorage as soon as I can. You all can screw over others. I’m close to done
16.43% turnout? Conservatives already gave up.
ANC is such a sh*thole mess that the amount of time it would take to fix (assuming a majority of non-hyper-Left assembly members were voted in) would surpass most voters’ limited attention span. There is simply no point in trying to polish a turd.
Yep. 2028 or 2032 seals Alaska’s fate.
WTF is wrong with people in this city.
Good heavens, I’m glad I’m not paying for those boondoggles any more.
So much for stuffed ballot boxes…
The ignorance in this community astounds me……
As usual, Anchorage does it to itself.
This is the government you deserve.
I COULD NOT IMAGINE NOT DOING NOTHING TO CARE LESS TO NOT EVEN MAKE AN EFFORT. WE ALL KNOW OUR ELECTIONS ARE RIGGED BUT GOD EXPECTS US TO TRY WE THE PEOPLE. CONGRATULATIONS LISA ANOTHER RIGGED WIN SO HELP YOU GOD. TRUMP WAS RIGHT & GOD WARNED US THE FAKES WOULD DO THIS IN THE END RUN. SHAMELESS STUFF OATH BREAKERS
More and more people care less and less about the toilet bowl called Anchorage Democrats destroyed it. Next it will be Bankrupt
Anchorage has sunken below the level of Seattle and is now the worst city in America. The communist leftist have managed once again to steal the elections thus far. There is no doubt they will once again tax themselves into poverty.
Fraudulent elections, nuff said.
16.43% turnout. Shameful. Such low turn out combined with ‘cheat by mai’l doesn’t bode well for much hope.
Link voting to PFD applications and your problem is solved.
Why is this a surprise. I keep harping that until these elections are moved to the fall, Unions and Muni employee’s phone banks will conquer all. People have too much going on to worry about an election they don’t even know is going on. Liberals do not want the rest of the population to vote. Mat-Su did this, but we gather signatures for rank choice but not the more important moving of elections. Very Sad but these kind of votes will continue.
Anchorage has always been a location to avoid as much as feasible. Can’t tell the difference between there and Seattle.
As a visitor, it overwhelmingly has the same type of rude people, aggressive idiotic drivers, filth, trash, crime, prejudice against Natives, all the attributes of west coast cities. Dangerous for violent crime.
Fairbanks is well on the way down the same sewer. Juneau has always been like a rich white suburb of Seattle, without the crime and filth, just the snotty attitude of liberal, wanna be(s).
With a few exceptions, I cannot remember a time when Alaska had a majority conservative and self reliant overall population. The most dependent on government population west of the Rocky Mountains.
As corrupt as Mexico, just with snow.
Juneau has filth and town drunks. It also has a good mix of different kinds of folks.
Voting for all these taxes just incentivized more residents to flee. It’s a shame people don’t care enough to fight for responsible spending and conservative leadership.
Great job voters, thanks for showing up and letting the MOA and ASD unions dictate the outcome of yet another failed election.
You would think with the chaos ASD created by changing the school schedule, people would have flipped the school board seats. I understand why the assembly challengers failed to flip an incumbent: no interviews, no debates, no campaign signs, no fund raising. It was a dud for the assembly. They may as well have mailed us our ballots pre-filled out. But for the school board seats, I wonder how far down the tank ASD has to plunge before people change it?
Apparently the voters like chaos.
The people of Los Anchorage seem content to let lesser men and even lesser women rule over them and educate their children. Pathetic. You reap what you sow.
Lazy and dumb Anchorage voters caused this.
Looks like Anchorage can afford a lot! I expect ASD won’t need ANY state money at this rate.
This situation is never going to change until both local and national Republican leaders and “MAGA” financiers get a large and well organized “get out the vote” effort for non-presidential elections. As long as main stream media and large amounts of outside “darK” money continue to be a tool of the left, this will be the case. Lack of such “get our the vote” efforts by Republican means our basically “red” state will continue to end up losing to the left in local and non-presidential elections.
The Californication of Anchorage has bee written in stone.
The only thing left to do is open your wallet and start signing blank checks to the communist assembly who will “fix” everything.
The time is right to blow up the damn and let the Eklutna Indians have it back.
Power and water are not necessities but simply “privileged white” luxuries.
Extremely disappointing voter turn out.
This result is an excellent example why we need to ban government employees from voting on bonds and taxation proposals.
Anchorage should get rid of mail in ballots. Probably would not change the % voting. Mail in has clearly failed.
I suppose a lot of people figure, why bother; nothing will change for the better.
The people of Anchorage have “spoken” once again with their apathy. They can’t be bothered with rampant crime, increasing homelessness, increased property taxes or failing school systems. 16% turnout is an embarrassment to all things civic duty, it is a reflection of a decaying society on it’s way to full on failure. I was considering buying my final home here, not any more.
After all the work Berkowitz did, the Conservative Base has nothing but an uphill battle to regain any kind of footing in the Municipality.
Mail-in Balloting should be the first thing to get axed.
So it looks like most of the bonds and tax levies passed. Watch your property taxes go higher and for what? And people must approve of the way our ASD is managed so vote for more of the same. Makes total sense.
I’m tired of feeling sorry for Anchorage! Anchorage gets the leaders it continues to elect (or doesn’t elect). The only thing I regret is that Anchorage’s bad choices affect the rest of Alaska and Anchorage’s impressionable youth.
Hmm, Guess it’s not bad enough yet.
There is no reason we can’t have a single annual election for everything…except that the union workforce benefits from breaking it up.
Then you have the independents who always seem to caucus with the Democrats.
Meanwhile educational achievement declines and we are told that we just need to spend more and everything will be fine.
I voted but I knew it would go this way when I saw that there was no in-person voting. Democrats are a cancer
What do we know about election results except what we’re told by officials with vested interests in the results?
.
Is the mere thought of epic, entrenched election fraud so horrible to contemplate that voters would rather blame themselves than challenge election gospel handed down from their Ruling Class?
You freedom lovers, as it turns out, are loafers. What a pathetic turnout… yes, you are at fault if you did not vote. You’re going to turn our town into Seattle.
