We stand against anti-Semitism and hate

There is something particularly loathsome about cowards who slink around in the night defacing property with racist or anti-Semitic scrawls or stickers in attempts to intimidate.

During Reconstruction in the South, they were called night riders, intimidating, bullying, even killing those they opposed. These mice were as cowardly then as they are now. They wore masks. They hid their faces. They were – and are – trash.

Somebody – security cameras indicate it was a male – put three stickers emblazoned with swastikas on the Alaska Jewish Museum last week in the middle of the night. Cops found a similar sticker posted at Mad Myrna’s.

The Alaska Jewish Museum is linked to the Lubavitch Jewish Center of Alaska and vandals have targeted the center in the past.

You have to wonder why, if these night-riding miscreants actually have something to say, they do not stand up on a soapbox in the light of day, their faces unhidden, and say what they believe and debate those who disagree. We can only surmise these milksops know what they are doing is wrong and are afraid their neighbors and loved ones will find them out. That makes what they do all the more craven.

Our community should rally and be outraged at this latest display of ignorance and intolerance. It drags us all down and stains our social fabric.

Whatever we tolerate these creatures doing to any one group, after all, they surely will do to others.

History proves that.

  1. They come in the night, they wear hoods and masks to hide their identity, they gang up to bully the weak. History has seen this all before, many many times, whether the KKK, Nazis or any other loser group filled with hatred trying to intimidate good people. Everyone must take a stand against them and speak out to put an end to their evil.

  2. Strange, that is normal woke Democrat behavior. Why show their socialist, racist and anti American values hidden, when they control all levers of power?
They despise Alaska Natives, Jews and Christians. It is the basis of the Biden administration. Didn’t he get 80 million votes?

  3. There are not adequate words to describe evil and their war against God. My prayers for the victims and all who are rightly offended.

  4. If I had a dollar for every time I have heard an older conservative tell me “the problem in this country is too many Zionists running America” I could retire.

  5. I Hate all types of graffiti. It’s not your place are property.
Stop the Defacing, of property, with your pictures, words or symbols.

  6. Fake news Nat, name 1. I am pushing 70, am a conservative, and have never heard that in my entire life.

  7. Wiki indicates that our Hebrew friends have been forcibly expulsed over 100 times from near as many countries which for those unencumbered by biblical fantasy would indicate that they may have a polarizing effect on those they encounter. I had a mentor many years ago that suggested that if I saw more than three jerks in one day it might be a good idea to go find a mirror. Perhaps that would apply to being expulsed over a hundred times as well, no?

Regardless, you’re not going to cure that with a solution free scolding a’ la Bernadette.

If I recall correctly it was difficult to get the brown shirts back in the bottle once slinking around at night was no longer important. Mr. Henry Ford pondered and published on this subject a century ago.

  8. Who writes this stuff as if from Clark Kent’s own newspaper, anyway? Their written voice differs significantly from that of Ms. Downing and is opinion masquerading as news.

  9. Neither deep love nor deep hate comes from nature or nurture.
Yahweh is Love, and all deep love comes from Him. It may seem to be learned from loving parents, but the children of even the most loving parents often have hate in their hearts.
Satan is hate. Not only did he create pride, but he created hate. All deep hatred comes from him. It may seem to be learned from hateful parents, but the children of even the most hateful parents often have love in their hearts.
Ordinary love and hate is of our own creation. We’re capable of that. Deep love or deep hate is an altogether different matter. It’s not naturally in us. It’s not nurtured in us. It’s given to us by whichever entity is our real father.
By our fruits we are known. Not the everyday stuff, but by those moments when we have to make the hard choice, take the hard action. When we have to go big, or not at all.
