(Corrected – Murkowski voted yes on the born-alive bill)
On Tuesday, two bills relating to abortion were on the Senate floor for a vote. As expected, Republicans were unable to reach the 60 votes needed to pass the bills.
Both Senators Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and Susan Collins of Maine voted with the Democrats and against the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act but voted in favor of the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act.
Sponsored by Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, the pain-capable bill was to protect unborn babies from abortion after 20 weeks, when science shows that they can feel pain. The bill failed 53-44.
The abortion survivors bill, sponsored by Republican Sen. Ben Sasse of Nebraska, was to protect survivors of a botched abortion. It failed 56-41.
I’m starting to despise that woman
The rules for posting here do not allow me to truly express my thoughts towards Senators Murkowski and Collins. Suffice it to say they’ve gone back to playing both sides of the street for their votes. Win or lose in any future elections, they will one day answer for their votes against the unborn.
If only they had been aborted in the name of women’s health issues then we wouldn’t be having this discussion.

Shame on Murkowksi. There is no justification for voting against either of these bills, regardless of your party. You’ll have to answer to your Maker for these votes, Murkowski, and for the blood on your hands.

You watch from a distance as a sea tortoise crawls up the shore and deposits her eggs in a nest above high tide line, then laboriously crawls back to the sea.
You walk over to the freshly disturbed sand and a thought crosses your mind:
“Should I stomp this nest of eggs into mush?”
Most people would reply “of course not!”
And why not? Because those eggs will develop into sea tortoises.
There are those that keep supporting that person for money and programs…Shame on you, Murkowski!!! Shame on you!!!

The U.S. government protects the sea tortoise. Some sea side residents in Florida cannot even have their beach lights on during the tortoise nesting season. More important
than human life. How many have been aborted who may have found a cure for coronavirus and many other such diseases?
Lisa Murkowski, claims to be a devout Catholic but supports abortion including live birth abortion. Totally against the tenets of her religion.
She claims that just because she does not believe in abortion does not mean she does not support it.
Give me a break.
Be sure not too look too closely at the Roman Catholic hierarchy before casting stones at the masses.

I find it hard to support abortion. I find it incredibly stupid not to support birth control.
Are you flipping kidding me? Murkowski voted against these two bills. And she dares call herself a Catholic and a conservative. Both of those bills were common sense bills that protected the rights of the unborn child, and or child that happens to survive a botched abortion attempt. Really sickens me to see that she voted in this manner. Can’t wait to vote Murkowski out of office. She is a fraud and does not deserve the backing of the conservatives here in Alaska. Time for her to go!!

After all, I keep hearing that industry disposes somewhere near 2 million embryos every year.
All kinds of outrage about one thing and total silence on the other hand.
Lisa Murkowski, Catholic, is already teaching people how to spell Murkowski, or, if you live in the bush…..LISA. The 2022 primary is going to kick her a$$ once again.
Perhaps we should deflect the debate from fetuses and the unborn to born children freezing to death in Syria or starving in our own United States. Are the unborn more unfortunate than those who make it out into a heartless world? Or is this God’s way of saying we have foolishly overpopulated His world and it is time to take corrective action?
