Man caught putting nails under Trump rally cars in Palmer

The Valley Republican Women’s club held a candidate convoy rally in the valley Saturday. They had a great time crisscrossing the valley from Palmer to Wasilla. After the event a group of participants went to the local Noisy Goose restaurant for lunch.

The “tolerance” of the Left was once again on display. One vehicle had Trump signs on it as it was parked at the rear of the establishment. A worker about to come on shift happened to be sitting in his car and noticed an individual placing a nail under the tire of the vehicle with the Trump signs. Video was taken as the man walked toward another vehicle with flags and signs on it.

The Palmer police were called and promptly responded. The man left the parking lot after noticing he was being watched, although Palmer police intercepted the man, Charles Davis IV, not far from the restaurant; he was found to have nails in his pockets. The investigation is ongoing in what appears to be a politically motivated crime.

In Fairbanks over the weekend, the windows of the building housing the Interior Republicans were shot out, and last week a home and car in Anchorage were vandalized with the word “TRAITOR” and a Swastika, in apparent response to the Trump signs on the house.

Of course, these crimes pale in comparison to the assassination attempts on Donald Trump’s life over the past few months.

      • If it was a person doing that to your darling kamala harris women’s club members you would lose what little mind you have!
shouting, stomping, gnashing your teeth, pulling your hair!
All you dimlibbys are the same, its ok if you do it, but if Republicans do, that’s a crime!

    • Terrorism without question. I want to see some of those substantial punishments. Of course, to progressives, dangerous, even deadly activities, are ‘free speech’, while mean words are terrorism if they don’t like them. To progressives, tomorrow could be April 12, 1861. To conservatives, it might echo July 4, 1776. We will see.

    • Whoa whoa whoa, pump the breaks there buddy.

While I agree that this is awful and egregious and an assumed political crime of retribution against Trump supporters, this is in no way, shape or form terrorism.

At worst this is vandalism/attempted vandalism. I’m not sure there is a way to elevate the charges due to the political leanings of those affected like there are with hate crimes, but this is not terrorism in the least.

Here is Webster’s definition of Terrorism: the systematic use of terror especially as a means of coercion

Not sure how this attempted vandalism is anywhere close to terrorism.

What this person did is wrong. period. full stop. There is no defense for it and they should be punished to the fullest extent the law allows.

      • What if those tires had blown while those ladies were driving and they lost control of their vehicles? Them being killed or killing another due to loss of control.
Would it be considered pre-meditated murder, attempted murder? Manslaughter?

His actions were despicable and irresponsible . He should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

      • “……..I’m not sure there is a way to elevate the charges due to the political leanings of those affected like there are with hate crimes………”
Isn’t a crime motivated by political hatred a hate crime? Why should hatred be limited to race, religion, gender, citizenship, ethnicity, or sexual preference?

      • “The FBI defines terrorism, domestic or international, as the unlawful use of force or violence against persons or property to intimidate or coerce a Government or civilian population in furtherance of political or social objectives”.

Sabotage of a car’s tires, in Alaska, in winter? This reprobate didn’t slash the tires to make an immediate statement – he was rigging it so that they would go flat while driving – slowly losing air and traction – probably at speed if someone traveled any distance to meet their friends. They’d be on the Glenn Highway or the Parks Highway when their trip home became dangerous.

Downplay it as a prank? Definitely not. This is much more than mischief – he took a substantial step toward hurting someone because of their political views.

  1. Cultural revolution as defined by history begins with violence, and ends in Communism. Communism is a safe place for failure.

    • “……..Communism is a safe place for failure………”
That’s because communism is a foundation of failure.

  2. The left-wing dimlibbys at it AGAIN!
Shouting, burning, shooting, spray painting, what’s a woman? etc…

They are unhinged, irresponsible & just plain crazy!

So, glad they caught this donkey!

  3. Another case of the Socialists pointing fingers at us why three are pointing back at them! What they don’t realize is one day, someone is toing to go too far and the outcome will be swift and final, for them.

  4. Suzanne you flat out rock it for us ma’am thank you your kindness must read a cut above the rest all. Can you imagine being so gullible or stuck on stupid someone would not check it out for themselves, & act like a idiot nails under tires, learn something useful take a knot class then hang yourself the world would be better with just one less idiot shameless suck.

  5. The Left can never win on facts and science, so they always resort to destruction and vandalism.
In an argument they resort to personal attacks because facts are never on their side.
Whenever they don’t get their way, they throw tantrums and resort to violence and destruction, burning down buildings, tearing down statues, throwing paint and soup on paintings etc….

  6. These crimes match what does done to 1) Ammo Can Coffee in Soldotna and 2) the 3 times the Eagle River Catholic Church has been vandalized. Maybe putting this fellow under careful questioning just might smoke out the cabal.

  7. Ever notice how the left is always executing the very acts they accuse the right of potentially performing?

    • Yes. It’s straight from Saul Alinsky’s ‘Rules for Radicals’. Accuse your opponents of what you are doing.

  8. So Charles Davis IV is registered as non-partisan, so do we know he’s a lefty lunatic? Certainly he could be, but do we have proof? I know proof isn’t a burden for MRAK, but just asking for a friend.

Thomas Cooks was a registered Republican.

Ryan Routh was a one-time Trump supporter, though he was kind of all over the place politically, but not a dyed in the wool lefty.

But yeah, all the political violence is definitely just lefties. Never a Trumper. Nope, never.

    • Lots of conservatives at those BLM and Antifa rallies.
Remember all the Democrats that protested the civil rights movements, sicked the dogs on the blacks, got upset because blacks wanted to vote and sit at their lunch counters.
      That was Democrats, not Republicans.
      You know that, right?

  9. Always, always, ALWAYS! Leftists, without exception, accuse others of doing exactly what they plan to do themselves. Call it projection, cite Saul Alinsky, whatever. It’s always the same, completely predictable. Every time.

  10. So according to the city of Palmer press release this person of interest is from Anchorage so apparently they drove here 30 miles with some interest and intended to cause a problem in the valley and is now charged with criminal mischief.

Would it be too much for us to ask the City of Anchorage officials to keep their people with bad judgment or bad intentions on the south side of the Knik River bridge in Anchorage please.

  11. There were numerous buildings vandalized in downtown Fairbanks that same night, Nov. 3, including the post office and privately owned commercial buildings. Definitely not politically motivated. Appeared to be random criminality.

  12. Wow. Even as an LEO I have to say that you have far too much respect for authority and the opinions of your “betters.”

First off, the term “justice is blind” is a myth.

The law is and always has been interpreted subjectively…yes, there is a difference between not only how a person is prosecuted or not according to the opines of society, but also according to the filter and feelings of the prosecution.

Essentially, a random act targeting a particular social, political, religious, ethnic, or racial group with intent to create fear is by definition…terrorism. That it didn’t include a firebomb or poison gas or a machine gun or etc. doesn’t make it less so.

By the way, look up the fellow in Court view…he wasn’t charged with anything.

  13. Karma has a way of biting down, hard. Even if he isn’t penalized much by the law, you can bet “what goes around, comes around”.
