White House senior counselor Kellyanne Conway leaves for family reasons

The president’s senior adviser Kellyanne Conway has announced that she is leaving the White House to attend to family matters.

It came shortly after her daughter, Claudia Conway, said she would seek emancipation from her parents and that she was “devastated” that her mother was speaking at the Republican National Convention.

It appears the split in the family’s politics have come to a head. George Conway is a liberal and harsh critic of the president.

“The past four years have allowed me blessings beyond compare as a part of history on Election Night 2016 and as Senior Counselor to the President. It’s been heady. It’s been humbling,” Kellyanne Conway wrote. “I am deeply grateful to the President for this honor, and to the First Lady, the Vice President and Mrs. Pence, my colleagues in the White House and the Administration, and the countless people who supported me and my work. As many convention speakers will demonstrate this week, President Trump’s leadership has had a measurable, positive impact on the peace and prosperity of the nation, and on millions of Americans who feel forgotten no more. The incredible men, women and children we’ve met along the way have reaffirmed my later-in-life experience that public service can be meaningful and consequential. For all of its political differences and cultural cleavages, this is a beautiful country filled with amazing people. The promise of America belongs to us all.”

She explained that she will transition from the White House next week.

“George is also making changes. We disagree about plenty but we are united on what matters most: the kids. Our four children are teens and ‘tweens starting a new academic year, in middle school and high school, remotely from home for at least a few months,” she said.

At the same time, George Conway wrote on Twitter that he is backing out of the Lincoln Project, which has the mission of destroying the president’s reelection. He said he fully supports the project but intends to spend more time with his family.

  1. Good move by both parents. An adult response by each to the current political environment. Family first.

  2. This is what happens when a blended family of Democrats and Republicans, or Liberals and Conservatives, tries living together. The Dems and Libs always eff it up.

    • Democrat or Republican, who cares? No one knows for sure what’s going on there, but this much has been made obvious as it all played out in public: the wife led an amazing part of a historic campaign and was guaranteed a top job at the pinnacle of her career, for either 4 Or 8 years. At that point, the husband’s role, one would think, in this particular situation, would be supporting his wife, biting his lip about what he thinks of her boss, and making sure things were good on the homefront. That is what most people would think an honorable man and husband would do.

Apparently, that was too much to ask. It’s pretty clear that his failure to do so has made life hell on her and probably the family. In essence, he used her fame, as a platform, to attack her boss, when it was her job to speak for and defend said boss. That has got to rank up there in all time “compensation” issues. Nobody sabotages their spouses career like that if they are secure.

    • Sure appears that way! I wonder who is responsible for poisening the daughters values, I really do feel bad that Kellyanne has been pushed into making this decision! She should have run her husband off a long time ago!

      • That’s no kidding, John. Her husband is a loser. Loud, obnoxious, and trying hard to be in the spotlight. Lazy too. Poor daughter had been brainwashed by the loser dad.

    • Only the fools, idiots, disloyals, and envious……old Whidbey. Woof! How’s retirement on the rocking chair? Getting enough rest, guy? Collecting your govt pension, watching Old Joe finger women and smell the hair of underage girls? Your candidate, of course. The guy who wouldn’t know the difference between the nuclear trigger and the pump on his hair spray. Back to your bone. Woof!

    • You are correct. Anyone who is successful and is a Republican has been put on the assassination list by the liberal media and the socialist Democrats. They look to tear down, intimidate, smear and basically ruined your life. Look what they did to that poor Catholic boy with his maga hat. Pretty much the worst people walking the planet. Yeah we’re at war with them.

  3. How that family managed to stay together this long is incredible, George Conway is about as anti Trump as they get and her being Trumps senior advisor must have made for some epic clashes on the home front, which is not good for their kids. She should feel proud of her accomplishments and what she did for this country, too bad the same can not be said for George.

  4. Kellyanne Conway’s a national treasure. I first realized that when seeing her tell the real Easter story to kids on the White House lawn during the Easter Egg Roll festivities 4 years ago. She’s been a delightful contrast to the previous WH occupant’s staff. She was continually on the front lines in defending the truth from a largely lying media. Our loss is her family’s gain – perhaps not because they deserve it – but because they’re hers. May God bless her.
