(2-minute read) CHAMPIONS NATIVE, WOMENS’ CAUSES IN SLEW OF RECENT LEGISLATION

Sen. Lisa Murkowski has shifted her focus in recent weeks. She has paid more attention to issues affecting Native Alaskans, particularly women and children, with several bills specific to their concerns of these Alaskans. Since Jan. 1, nearly half of Murkowski’s sponsored or cosponsored legislation has dealt with this part of the Alaska population.

Here’s a look at the legislation she has her name on this year that pertain to Alaska Natives, women, and children, with links to the specific language of the bills:

S.290 Cosponsored  — A bill to protect Native children and promote public safety in Indian country. 01/31/19

S.288 Cosponsored  — A bill to amend the Indian Civil Rights Act of 1968 to extend the jurisdiction of tribal courts to cover crimes involving sexual violence, and for other purposes. 01/31/19

  1. Murkowski is two faced, look at her contributions from the BUTCHER SHOP Planned Parenthood. Hypocrisy at its finest. She is lower than a RINO. This two-faced snake has to go!!!

  2. Gearing up to garner the native and liberal vote in 2022 ~ not that she needs any additional candy to get it, but this doesn’t hurt. If she doesn’t retire, she better switch parties or be ready for a bloodbath campaign. She should be kicked out of the Repblican party because she clearly doesn’t support their platform. Marky Mark is eyballing her seat I’m sure, as well as some of those folks with time on their hands in the Alaska House right now.

  3. The Senator appears to have gone “all in” on identity politics and the hope that a combination of minorities, victims and others demanding special recognition will propel her to re-election or the promised land.

Sadly, she fails to comprehend that those that do NOT fit into her collection of special boxes have to pay for it all, defend the nation and otherwise build our State. And a bit further on that point: Government handouts and largess will NEVER build a vibrant Alaska economy.

Keep up the bad work Senator.

  4. Ladies and gentlemen, here lies the root of Alaska’s political problems. Our own Hillary Clinton. Princess Lisa Murkowski. Daughter of King Frank. This is exactly why Alaskans should reject familial succession. Take her off the throne and flush. Twice! It worked with King Frank.

    • Good thing we flushed only once to get rid of Frank on the Gov-ship. But we have been overrun with people that forgot how to earn their own way ~ or maybe never knew how to take care of themselves. It’s now become generational. Sad, sad stuff.

  5. She’ll probably start her ‘Spell It’ campaign soon in planning for 2022. So much for the rest of Alaska.

    • Senator Cathy Giessel would be a winning candidate against Lisa Murkowski in 2022. Brains v. Idiocy. Conservative v. Liberal. Right of Life v. Child killer. Loyalist v. Traitor. Rationalist v. Brain dead. And both are Republicans. How does the Catholic church get such contrast in female politicians?

      • M.L. ~ You are on to something here. No one backs Cathy into a corner, or presses her up against a wall for that matter.

  6. I agree she need to change parties. She was voted in as a Republican, and will be voted out as a traitor.
Look up the picture of Diane Feinstein looming over Lisa during the Kavanaugh hearings. They must have something on Lisa.

  7. So we have Peoples Federal Senator Murkowski “paying attention to Native Alaskans, particularly women and children” while supporting baby butchery for non-Native Alaskan women and children.
    .
    Seems confusing…
    .
Maybe quid pro quo for voting “present” on Judge Kavanaugh?

  8. Didn’t see Lisa wearing white. She’s trying to blend in with the RINOs. Again. But her heart stands with Dem women in white, with red stains from killing babies. btw, where does her House Husband live?

  9. Reading these bills that have been refreshed from past endeavors should make the native-tribes and Metlakatla take a second look at the blatant effort to move the thinking of these Alaskans from corporate thinking to reservation thinking. These bills should be an insult to those groups since they are already protected under the US Constitution, federal government and the State of Alaska. If Murkowski can make the tribes beholden, she’ll be able to exploit them to her advantage.

  10. Lisa is in full campaign mode for 2022, knowing well that her support comes from Natives, women and Democrats. Republicans have to identify a solid Conservative candidate by 2020 and throw full weight to that candidate in the primary. That’s the only way to beat Lisa. Joe Miller did it in 2010, but Joe didn’t handle himself well in the run up to the general election. The Republican Party was not giving Joe the full endorsement he needed, including the big $$$.
